Just back from Rome and stayed in Hotel Diana. It was very central and the staff were great. The roof garden was exceptional. The breakfast was fantastic so much variety. Would recommend and would certainly go back. It's literally just 2 minutes from Termini. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops just downstairs.

I have now stayed here twice, both times it has been excellent. the location is perfect, about a 10-15min walk to the trivia fountain and to the coliseum. the Vatican is more of a 40 min walk away if you're up for it, if not there is the main bus station 5 min walk away as well as taxi ranks.... Our 4th visit and still a well run operation Upgrade of rooms over the years is good Hotel promotes its rooftop well and it is great in the evenings Also specialise in a great breakfast with plenty of options Only letdown was listening to one of the waitress's getting a dressing down by a very vocal head That sort of... We took the train from Florence to Rome. Our travel agent booked the hotel in part because it's close to the train station. We were able to walk from the station to the hotel with our luggage. We were also within easy walking distance of a hop on - hop off bus station. We were able to walk from the... More

An insane lift system, inadequate signage within the hotel, no clear way of finding the roof garden or breakfast room (breakfast very average), full of American students, roof garden waiter did not know Caeser salad had its own dressing..... not a bad location but fairly ordinary and SMALL room - changed to a larger one with an obliging porter's help.... Good location to get the tour buses around the city and not too far a walk from sights like the trevi fountain. The staff were all friendly and helpful although not all spoke English, but in a foreign country that's expected. Breakfast was nice and the roof garden offered some fantastic views at night. Definitely recommended for tourists.

The room was modern and clean, it was quite noisy as we were located at the back of the hotel and could hear what we assumed was a recycling for bottles and so could hear all the bottles being tipped in the early hours of the morning. Air conditioning was a god send as it was very warm in the... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Clean room. Good aircon. Nice simple buffet breakfast on the roof terrace with views of the city. Good location for Termini and Metro (5 mins walk). All sights within walking distance. Complimentary water & snacks in the minibar on arrival.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Diana and the beginning and end of a tour, six nights in total. We really liked it and were happy it was the hotel we were spending most of our time at during our tour. It had the best breakfast, and was in a great area of Rome. Could walk to most attractions... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
