What may have been a great hotel some years back seems to be losing its professional and upmarket approach. For a four star hotel I expected better and to find that the rooms had no usual amenities like tea or coffee in the room, was very disappointing for a four star hotel. I did look at previous reviews on Trip...

Be warned not all rooms are 4 stars. Nor is the breakfast. There are a few recently updated rooms that were shown on the web but unfortunately not our room. A strong 2. Please review other real guest comments before booking.

All hotels in Rome are known to be a bit dated. This Hotel is no different. The breakfast in the hotel was not too great either. The rooms are small. The staff were very friendly though and helpful. It's in a good location with restaurants and cafes around. Close to Termini Station and about a 30min walk to Spanish steps....

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely weekend break in Rome. The Diana is well located close to Termini station and within walking distance of the centre of Rome. The Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps are 20 minutes walk. The hotel has an old fashioned feel. The rooms are comfortable but not spectacular. The highlight is the roof garden....

I chose the Hotel Diana based on the location proximity for the termini/sites and the roof garden.....whilst the rooms are quite dated and minimal they provide everything you need for a great stay, including a mini bar to put drinks and snacks in from many of the nearby mini markets for after your afternoon siesta. We were in the 6th...

We would have had an average stay if wasn't for a fantastic waiter working at the roof garden. He gave excellent service and made us feel like we were the only ones there. Our room was an average size double, very clean and adequate for our three night stay. If you stay here be sure to have a meal at...

We spent Mon-Fri at this hotel where we found the staff helpful and the hotel clean and comfortable. It is a good location for all the sights as well as five minutes walk from the train station so easy access from the airport. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room was comfortable and always kept clean, the fridge restocked...

My husband and I stayed here for four days of our honeymoon (travel agent booking). We arrived around 11:00 p.m. due to an unexpected ten-hour layover. Exhausted, were welcomed by less than polite front desk staff. They really acted like we were an inconvenience the entire time we were there (wouldn't suggest places to eat, couldn't give directions to a...

Dear Client, is sad for us to hear that, especially about the bad impression on our reception staff. We hope that you would recosider your position and come back on your aniversary for a more pleasant experience. You're right, cips and nuts doesn't come along with the wine, usually ham and cheese come with the wine. Actually something were wrong...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
