We stayed at the Hotel De Russie between 10-14 March for the rugby international. Its location was ideal as many of Rome’s attractions are within walking distance as is the stadium. We booked a classic room (225), it was not huge but comfortable, immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. The Stravinskij Bar in the garden was in an outstanding setting with service to match, an excellent pre and post dinner venue. In mid-March it was quite cool in the evenings, but there was plenty of heaters at tables to keep you comfortable, also an inside sitting area if you wished. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but did have breakfast there each day. The décor was stunning, and breakfast was tremendous. Dinner locations recommended by the concierge were great and used mainly by locals, therefore less touristy. All in all, we had an excellent short break at the Hotel De Russie and will return on our next visit to Rome.…
Stuck in the Uk, having not seen family for nearly 2 years now, a 50th wedding anniversary of my partner's parents (who live in Rome) on the horizon... 2 days before the big day, we contacted the hotel hoping to some how organise and pay for a nice evening for them there as we love the hotel. It could not have been easier. The website showed the exquisite garden restaurant as fully booked but a quick call to the restaurant and a table was booked. We paid for a 4 course meal voucher on line and an extra voucher to purchase celebratory drinks. The restaurant gifted them a cake with a message from us on top. They had a wonderful time, under the circumstances, celebrating together in a heavenly garden in the centre of Rome with wonderful food and the best service they have ever encountered. Thank you to everyone at Hotel de Russie. I wouldn't expect anything less from the family of Alex Polizzi and her mother Olga's design the garden is breathtaking. Location the best, there's a reason Mr Clooney loves to stay here. It's wonderful.…
Just wanted to say Thank you to the amazing team of the Hotel! They made our stay really special. All team members were so friendly and helpful. The Hotel’s location is superb and makes it so easy to explore the city. All Rome landmarks are pretty much within walking distance from the Hotel. Our room was elegant, spacious and absolutely lovely and we really appreciated little touches (especially the kids!). We had lunch at the Secret Garden and drinks in the evening and both food and service were exceptional. We are really hoping to come back again soon!
Fabulous stay in the beautifully chic Hotel de Russie. A gorgeous way to spend a week during the holidays. The best appertivo in town and the most gracious breakfast each day. A Roman Christmas season at it best.
great hotel for location, breakfast, friendly staff, I took one star off for the checkin-checkout experience. long wait for check in, mistakes in your receipt, room not ready even at 3 pm, I had to stay on one room for most of the day when i already paid for two.
A short stay of 4 days in Rome over Xmas once again shows how well this hotel of Rocco Forte us run. Staff are all so pleasant and helpful, no does not exist in their vocabulary. Room was clean and well sized however i think a double sink upgrade in the bathroom would be preferable. Lunch and breakfast served in the upper level terrace is a delight. Food is well prepared and expertly prepared by the chef. Will be back very soon on our next Roman holiday.
This is a fantastic hotel in the heart of Rome We have just had a weekend there and have to say from the moment we arrived till we departed the whole weekend was fabulous. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you this is truly a great 5 star hotel possibly the best we have ever stayed in
What a fantastic team to take care of you when in Rome. Mario at breakfast makes starts your day to a great start, Ludovica, manager made sure we had all we needed for a great memory in Rome and Marco made us feel right at home. Thank you to all the staff for an unforgettable Rome visit we will never forget. The team at the Spa did a great Job as well!
Unbeatable location with a romantic and manicured garden combined to an outstanding yet friendly service! Best place to experience the true Roman essence. Will definitely return on our future journeys.
Located near the Spanish Steps and at the end of a busy street, Hotel de Russie has a lot of history mixed with parts of modern luxury. This is a great hotel for a luxurious getaway and relaxation at the hotel, not so much for travelers trying to explore Roma. My favorite aspect is the restaurant downstairs- the pasta is to die for. The San Marzano tomatoes and Calabria peppers are unreal.
