A perfect place to stay for our 2 day birthday trip. Perfectly located and you would struggle to find a more relaxing bar which is located in the hotel courtyard. The staff are super friendly and helpful and you will be made to feel very welcome. The restaurant is stunning both for an amazing breakfast and for a moonlit dinner.... More

We visited this amazing hotel once again in September. This was the last part of our trip to Italy. We stay here almost every year for one or two nights on our regular trips to Italy. It is a constant delight of glamour and class. Every detail attended to. This trip we were delighted to be upgraded to the same... More

Beautiful hotel and garden. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the courtyard for drinks or coffee. We had dinner in the restaurant and had an excellent meal with good service. The hotel location made it easy to walk to most tourist attractions and shops.

Beautiful property; room very comfortably furnished; enjoyed the desk/door staff - very friendly with our children and us. Location for walking the Villa Borghese gardens was perfect. Many great restaurants nearby (try Hostaria de Pietro) and the "shopping triangle" is out the front door. Easy walk to Spanish Steps. If you do not like street noise, request a room accordingly... When you have requested a suite and are paying a high daily rate per night you expect better than a single.second floor room right over the main hotel entrance with noise but no view other than into other people's apartments. We were eventually moved the second night to a higher floor, quieter and larger room. The addition of a fictional... More

This is my second time here and i really find it it boring, decrepit, and noisy. Breakfast is one of the worst you can have in rome. The buffet is all factory made pastries and bread. No eggs (except à la carte with supplement). Even coffee is not really nice. I am staying in a junior suite and basically I... More

Our 4th trip to Rome and my husband booked us in the elegant Hotel De Russie located just steps from the Piazza del Popolo and blocks from the Spanish steps. Alissandra greeted us at the front desk with a smile; the check-in process was painless and she walked us to our room. She was incredibly warm and welcoming making us... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
