It's our 3rd time in this hotel and will be coming back. Everything of interest is within walking distance including the Termini station and all tourist attractions, shops and downtown restaurants. It's great in the summertime because it's in an old stone building so it's naturally cool and the air-conditioning works perfectly. Definitely recommended if you're planning a summertime visit.... We stayed 6 nights and had a lovely well appointed room. The staff was excellent friendly and attentive. Great central location with lots of good restaurants within waking distance. The breakfast was very good with a large selection including eggs, ham and a nice coffee machine that made cappuccinos and lattes. Room was very clean! Loved it and would book... More

This is an old hotel in good location near the train station. I was given a quiet room on inside of building. Small as most are in Rome but adequate for me. The room was clean and bedding was comfortable. The employees were all kind and helpful. The price fluctuated due to occupancy. The breakfast would be better if they... More

Hotel was good. Good location, walking distance from Termini but also from the sights. Used bus only once when went to Vatican. Buses leave just outside the hotel. Rooms are not that big - tried a few. But they are clean and neutral decoration. View from some of the rooms is poor - wall of the next building, especially at... More

The location of this hotel could not be more convenient, 10 minute walk from the train station and only a 5 minute walk into the centre. The hotel is a typical Italian hotel which is what we were looking for, the room was very spacious, lovely bathroom, we had a room facing the road so we had a view which... More

My wife and I caught an excellent offer for this hotel and I can say that it was a great choice. Very good location, bright and clean room, the stay in this hotel was a true relaxation after all-day walks in the city. When we come back to Rome, Hotel Ranieri will be our first choice.

We chose it due to the good comments it had for its breakfast. Indeed the breakfast has everything, the rooms are very clean, they used to change us sheets and towels daily. The staff was also very helpful. No bad comments. It is very good for its price.

The hotel has character and was a good price. The staff was very helpful, assisted us with all our travel needs and got us a late open restaurant on our arrival day that had delays at passport control. We stayed in Room 428 which faced a busy street. I live on a busy street back home and the traffic noise... More

For our first trip to Rome we decided on the Ranieri. For reference, it is close to the Termini Station and only a few blocks down the street from Sta. Maria della Vittoria (so you can visit Bernini's Saint Teresa all you want). Easy access to buses and Metro at Republica. The Hotel itself is very "old world" in a... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
