Good hotel in the heart of Rome. Very close to Stazione Termini and shopping centre of Via Nazionale. A lot of restaurants close buy. Hotel is clean and has good breakfast. Gentle staff. I went there twice.

We were irritated to find that we had to pay for wifi. We were even more irritated to find this only entitled one of us to use email.. Most irritating of all was the manager's attempt to justify, what we felt was, petty extortion by claiming a high minded concern for download speeds. Otherwise the hotel is clean and rooms...

From check-in throughout our stay in the Hotel, the staff were super friendly, offering suggestions on rooms, attractions, cheap eats etc. Our room was nice and modestly furnished. The Hotel is located 2 minutes from Termini Station on 1 side and Metro Vittorio Emmanuele (not to be mistaken for the monument, pls) on the other.

I was on my honeymoon stay at this hotel assuming to be best fit in the budget but please avoid this hotel if you can. The neighbourhood is full of prostitutes and unsafe. The hotel manager was rude and very unhelpful. They will charge 6 Euro for WiFi for one device and you will get no speed. No water and...

Brilliant location 2 minutes from train station, ideally located for food and drinks in the evening before retiring. A ten minute walk from the colleseum. I found the room tiday and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Had read reviews saying the area was a bit down beat and had people loitering about but I found it very...

We stayed at the Mariano for seven nights. This hotel is basic but in an ideal situation for the central station, metro, buses and trams. The area with much graffiti looked run-down, but not once did we feel threatened, in fact most people in the many bars and cafes around were very civil. Our room was on the third floor...

In this hotel you get the basics not more. Clean room with old furniture. Poor breakfast. Staff is friendly and nice. Compared to other 3 star hotel is this rather a 2 star hotel (or 1 star hotel). However, it is good located. Close to the train station and metro, 30 min walk to colosseum etc.

Decent stay. Clean room. The central station was 5 mins by walk. Decent and helpful staff. My friend and I were traveling together in Rome and we were more interested in visiting places of historical importance, so we didn't much care about the hotel, as long as we had a clean bed to crash on! Wifi isn't free and they...

This hotel is located very close to Termini the main railway station with both Metro lines, buses and trams all meeting up there,so travel around the City is easy from here. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room quite large, clean and appeared newly decorated. Bathroom had a good strong shower which was great after lots of sightseeing. Breakfast...

Friendly receptionist who spoke English. Arrived before noon and delighted to be given a room immediately. Well appointed room, very comfortable. Only complaint...occasionally there was a smell in the bathroom...stagnant water? Breakfast was in a lovely sunny room. It was of the continental variety so no hot food but perfectly adequate. The hotel is a stone's throw from Termimi where...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
