Booked as a surprise by my daughter. We arrived to find this charming little hotel a stones throw from the Colosseum. Staff are very friendly and couldn't help us enough throughout our stay. Bedroom was immaculate and cleaned on a daily basis including fresh towels and bedding. I would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone wishing to...

Overall, the hotel colosseum is located in a good area where the attractions are all nearby. It has the local metro, trains & buses nearby and everything is in walking distance. We have enjoyed our stay at the hotel colosseum, staff are friendly, helpful and speak english. Hotel also offers bed and breakfast, a bit disappointing as there is not...

A faultless stay. From staff, to facilities to location. I visited with my Mother for her Christmas present and she was lit up with the friendliness of the staff (all of them) the room may not exactly be modern but if that is what you are looking for just remember you have gone to Rome! Everything spotless, beds were comfortable...

Very nice hotel in central location. We were greeted by Diego at the front desk. No one prepares you for how little English is spoken in Italy. My two dozen words and dictionary didn't cut it. Diego made things so much easier. He helped us find a place to park for free, even walking us out the front door and...

Hotel Colosseum was perfect choice for our week in Rome! It is centrally located and close to all historical sites, but also in quiet and lovely neighbourhood. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cozy with new and beautiful bathroom. Bed was great for sleeping, but breakfast in the morning was even better. :) The...

Absolutely loved staying here. Friendly staff and close to the colosseum etc,but also enough distance for it to be quiet, as its in a lovely back street. Metro stations close by and only 20 minutes to the spanish steps, trevi fountain and vatican city. Value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Staff was very accommodating, friendly. Continental breakfast every morning was wonderful, everything was fresh and the staff in the morning were worker bees. Very nice place.

Spent the Christmas period at the hotel and I have to say the staff were more than happy to help wherever they could. Place is very clean and tidy. Breakfast was traditional European but you could eat as much as you wished. They even went about to book a restaurant for us on Christmas day at a traditional Italian home...

My Booking was with some other Hotel in the same area but they made the reservation at this hotel due to some internal problem about availability. Pros: - Walkable from Colosseum, Termini, Metro station. - Hotel staff speaks English. - Very neat & spacious rooms. - Worth for this price. Cons: - Internet didn't work. Receptionist (Mr. Damino i guess)...

Perfect location, great hospitality, friendly atmosphere make Hotel Colosseo a wonderful place to stay! The hotel is just a five minute walk from the main train station and steps from Colosseo. I'd definitely book a stay for next time!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Colosseum, a magnificent terrace overlooking Rome... Welcome to Hotel Colosseum. You are in the characteristic Rione Monti, one of the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhoods of the "Eternal City", in the peaceful and quiet Via Sforza, at n°10. Thanks to our exclusive location, in the centre of Monumental Rome, you will have the opportunity to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you will find the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. Crossing Via Cavour will take you to Via Urbana. Called "Vicus Patricius" in antiquity, it is remembered above all for the visits, which tradition claims were made by St. Peter to the house of a Christian senator here. A short, scenic walk along the streets of Rome will also take you to the Imperial Fora and the Church of S. Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Hotel Colosseum is located at one of the highest points of Esquiline Hill and provides a 360° panoramic view of Rome and its surroundings from a splendid, furnished terrace on the eighth floor of the building, where the guests can enjoy the view while savouring a drink from our bar. All the rooms and common areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi coverage. An internet point is also available for use. At the reception, you can get information about all means of travelling through the city (taxi and bus services, car, scooter and bicycle rentals) and about guided tours. The stops of numerous city buses are a few meters from Hotel Colosseum and the "Cavour" (Line B) metro stop is about 3 minutes away on foot. The Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Rome, outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL); therefore, it is possible to get to us by car and park in the nearby partner garage. Otherwise, it is possible to book our fixed-price transfer and airport pick-up/drop-off service. ... more   less
