This hotel is extremely quaint. The staff are fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us. The location is off the main street but placed perfectly and close to everything. Highly recommend this Hotel. Massimo, Diego and Francesco work the desk and are wonderful and go above and beyond.

Booked a double and triple room (with single beds). Both rooms were spacious and very clean as well as the bathroom. Something to keep in mind is whenever you book a hotel double room in EUROPE, the bed consists of two twin beds put together. To us Americans seems strange but my parents didn't mind it. All of us slept... More

Dear Guest Wanda, thank you for writing us. The best way to reach the hotel from the Train Statio Termini, is to walk until the Church of St. May Major, and than take the strett called Via Paolina. At the end of Via Paolina begin Via Sforza, the street where is located the hotel. Everything is straight, no stairs. On our... More

Really good view over the old part of Rome from the roof. The room was nice and the bed were wonderful. There was also extra pillows which is something i always miss otherwise (since i sleep with three pillows at home). The airconditioner was also a nice thing to have since it was really hot.

Dear Guest William L, thank you for writing. Yes, is still warm in Rome. I am happy you could see the old Rome from our rooftop. Unfortunately, I read that some clients are not able to recognize the Colosseo from the rooftop. But is very easy to see.We have also a video on our official website where you can see a... More

This hotel was great, especially for our four person group (to my surprise, our room had two bathrooms!). Very comfortable, centrally located, close to Termini station but not TOO close, located on a quiet cobblestone street just far enough away from a busy street. The lovely rooftop bar was a very welcome added plus.

Superb hotel in a great position to access all the main attractions directly by foot. The rooms are kept very clean and are comfortable with air conditioning available if needed. The staff are friendly and helpful and any queries or advice can be dealt with at reception. The biggest surprise for us was the silence at night! It was difficult... More

The reception staff were extremely helpful. The rooms, although basic, were comfortable and very clean. The hotel is in a very good position for the sights, buses and restaurants. Had a great short break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Colosseum, a magnificent terrace overlooking Rome... Welcome to Hotel Colosseum. You are in the characteristic Rione Monti, one of the oldest and most picturesque neighbourhoods of the "Eternal City", in the peaceful and quiet Via Sforza, at n°10. Thanks to our exclusive location, in the centre of Monumental Rome, you will have the opportunity to visit the main tourist attractions on foot. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you will find the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum and the Domus Aurea. Crossing Via Cavour will take you to Via Urbana. Called "Vicus Patricius" in antiquity, it is remembered above all for the visits, which tradition claims were made by St. Peter to the house of a Christian senator here. A short, scenic walk along the streets of Rome will also take you to the Imperial Fora and the Church of S. Pietro in Vincoli, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of Moses. Hotel Colosseum is located at one of the highest points of Esquiline Hill and provides a 360° panoramic view of Rome and its surroundings from a splendid, furnished terrace on the eighth floor of the building, where the guests can enjoy the view while savouring a drink from our bar. All the rooms and common areas of the hotel have Wi-Fi coverage. An internet point is also available for use. At the reception, you can get information about all means of travelling through the city (taxi and bus services, car, scooter and bicycle rentals) and about guided tours. The stops of numerous city buses are a few meters from Hotel Colosseum and the "Cavour" (Line B) metro stop is about 3 minutes away on foot. The Termini railway station is 700 meters away. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Rome, outside the limited traffic zone (ZTL); therefore, it is possible to get to us by car and park in the nearby partner garage. Otherwise, it is possible to book our fixed-price transfer and airport pick-up/drop-off service. ... more   less
