This hotel is in a brilliant location right next to the Pantheon. It is extremely clean but that is where the praise stops. Before we arrived I requested a quiet room as I wanted to rest during the day (due to recovering from illness). Our room was on the top floor and had recently been re-marbled so was very clean...

After 16+ hours of travel we arrived at the Hotel Pantheon only to be told our room was not ready due to construction so we would be moved to a sister hotel across town. We booked this hotel 11 months in advance to ensure we were in a central location and then we get bumped. They paid for the cab...

Very central. Walking distance to all sights. Good information at the front desk. Breakfast ok. I recommend this hotel. A lot of restaurants nearby the hotel. If you want to go shopping is this also close.

Hotel is in a great location, right in front of the Roman Pantheon and 5 mins walk away from Trevi Fountain. Its kept very clean. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, easy to chat to. (Roberto J) Room décor is very elegant to the style of the building itself. Breakfast is not necessary to book as they offer only a...

We could not have been more pleased with the location, the charm of the hotel and the staff. Our room was unique, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was better than many hotel breakfasts in Italy and the extended hours were greatly appreciated. Most importantly, the concierge was very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of mishaps while we were there,...

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants, monuments, and very diverse stores and shops. There are two taxi stations with walking distance. Staff was surprisingly friendly and helpful. Just be aware of the stairs. No recommended if you are unable to use them.

After hoping off the bus from Rome railway station we walked and eventually found this hotel, not hard to find if we had of had a map to look at. It is in a very good location, close to the Pantheon and all of Romes attractions. We were given a map and with all the attractions circled to show where...

This is a nice hotel in a great location, the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who served breakfast. The room was a lovely size, the bathroom was decorated to a high standard but was missing shelves so toiletries were dotted around on various surfaces that were big enough to stand things on. The shower took a few...

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less
