The Hotel Pantheon is ideally located (within 40 minutes walking distance) for many of Rome's tourist attractions: Pantheon (50m), Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Venezia, Foro Romano, Colosseum, Termini Station, Piazza Navona, etc. Reservation, check-in and check-out processes are efficient. All of our room requests were satisfied, for our special anniversary celebration vacation. Room was available early, as per the cruise... More

We have sayed in this hotel before and had a beautiful large room. This time our 'double room' was tiny with next to nowhere to put our clothes and nowhere to put our cases. Good location however do ask for a large double room if you stay here.

Best location for most of the historical sites in Rome great restaurants all within your doorstep. Nothing was too much trouble for staff when requests put in. We will definitely be returning to this hotel when we return to Rome!

We just returned from a stay in Europe and were very disappointed with the way a matter was handled at this hotel. We were two families traveling together to celebrate a 50th birthday. We booked two rooms more than 6 months in advance and even received an email confirmation from the property manager Roberto, the day before our arrival. Traveling... More

the rooms are clean and modern with an old world charm...staff was gracious and at our beck and call....located on a narrow street more like a walkway because no cars were allowed. only 100 feet from the Pantheon building itself..the entire street was lined with cafes and restaurants which were outstanding...two blocks away one could catch city buses that would... Loved the location of this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very knowledgable and helpful. The only issue we had was that you could here the street cleaners come thru at 6am every morning. But we loved opening our window and watching everyone walk by on the street. Very nice continental breakfast.

My second stay in two months. Both times, the water kettle regularly blew the fuses (in two different rooms). Also, for a four-star hotel it makes two common, classic mistakes that in my book are inexcusable. First, there is no excuse for the individually-wrapped plastic water cups in the room. This is for two-star hotels. Sorry, but four-star status carries... More

This was our first trip to Rome and staying at the Hotel Pantheon was one of my greatest experiences. Located adjacent to the Pantheon, this is a quaint 13 room hotel within walking distance to such treasures as the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, the Roman Forum and a short taxi ride to Vatican City. In the Pantheon's piazza and along the... More

If you are only staying in Rome for a short period of time this is a great choice! Rooms are typically small by US standards but marble floors to high ceilings give them lots of character & they are spotlessly clean! Staff is very accommodating. Very nice breakfast. Best part, you are central & walking distance to all Romes attractions!

Overall this hotel is quaint, great location, clean, with friendly bilingual staff at a really reasonable price. The breakfast is more then average serving cool and hot food which is a bonus with hungry boys. I traveled with my two sons and we stayed in a room for 3, which was en suit and massive. The internal design is period... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less
