It was the most convenient vacation ever, and we enjoyed our stay so much. Look forward to returning and to the same hotel, I would recommend the pantheon to all who visit Rome, the smell of good food, and the friendliest people are from the moment you leave and return to the hotel was so inviting

Recently modernised, the Pantheon Hotel is perhaps Rome's most central hotel - for 5 days, we did not use public transport once - everything is no more than 25 minutes walk away. The bedrooms are large, with extra large beds and tastefully decorated. A wholesome breakfast to start the day , and the friendly staff there to help plan our day....

Clean. Good beds. Good breakfast - we enjoyed the pancakemachine. Friendly staff. Very central, good lokation. But - it was noisy from early morning to late evening. We had our two rooms out to the street side, and it was never quiet. It is a very crowded street along the hotel, cozy with many resturants and much of life. Forget...

This was my daughter's senior trip and we could not have asked for a better base than the Hotel Pantheon! It was beside a major site in the center of historic Rome with restaurants, shopping and transportation all right outside.

My friend and I booked this trip last minute. It was really easy to get from the airport to the hotel using a private taxi. We managed to share a taxi with a couple and only ended up paying €10 euro each. The journey is about 40 minutes. The hotel is right on this beautiful square which surrounds The Pantheon....

Hotel Pantheon is situated in a very good place for tourist. It's very easy to go to the different interesting places by walking. In the small streets at this area there are many very good and cheap restaurants to eat very good Italian food. The hotel is homey and clean.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Pantheon is located in an elegant eighteenth-century building in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona, in peaceful surroundings, characteristic of an old pedestrian street. The interior of this small but luxurious Rome hotel is well-cared for down to the finest detail, embellished with special, unique details such as the Liberty-style staircase in wrought iron, the wooden-clad walls, the ceilings with old wooden beams, the Roman terracotta floors, the artistic windows and the trompe-l'oeils decorations on the hall walls. The breakfast room is a charming place, thanks to the light of the Carrara marble and the dome ceiling painted with sky-colored trompe-l'oeil. Intimate and friendly, the Hotel Pantheon offers a relaxing stay for its guests, also thinking of their well-being with their range of high quality, personalized services such as ticket booking for shows and exhibitions, guided tours of Rome and the surrounding area, suggestions on itineraries and places that must be seen and the plentiful hot or cold buffet breakfast. ... more   less

“Top floor with balcony”
of 5 bubbles behimili, Nov 1, 2016 | Read review
“We were given room 401 (lifts go up to floor 3 so a few steps to negotiate to access the annex part of this hotel. ) which accommodated the sofa bed for the 3rd person in the space with a window. The 2 twin beds was in linked but closed space with no windows so if you are a bit claustraphobic request a room where you can see a window. The TV is bolted onto the wall of this closed space which we did not turn on (no English channels and if the TV speaker arial in the other space accidentally touched the steel tray which supported the kettle etc the speakers made a loud buzzing noise). Shower is a sit down plastic spa affair which is a bit fiddly with the plastic knobs coming loose when adjusting. The seat takes up space so if you are of a larger size and you don't want to sit when showering you will not get in; think size of economy airplane toilet. Cannot comment if other rooms are better but the doors on the left of lifts where adorned with pictures whereas the doors to the right did not.”
