This hotel was great! Right next to the termini station. The rooms were well decorated and very clean. Very friendly staff work there who recommended a number of restaurants and cafes for us to try out! Will definitely stay here again if I was to come back to Rome

Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, upgraded to a large room...comfy bed what more do you need? We purchased this hotel on a last minute mystery hotel deal and were not disappointed. Easy access to all the attractions and a calm oasis to return too.

Just back from a great short break to Rome where we stayed at the Royal court. The accommodation was around the corner from reception but felt like we actually lived there as an apartment. The staff Romano and Renee along with the rest of the team were so helpful regarding booking trips etc . Location was great near the Termini... More

I booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and certainly wasn't disappointed! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and were quick to help with recommendations of where to eat in the area. We were offered the apartment but because we had several early mornings, decided staying in the hotel itself would be more convenient. The room was clean... More

We felt super smug when we arrived at this hotel. As with any hotel, you're never 100% sure what you're going to get even if the reviews are great but this one didn't disappoint. We felt it was fantastic value for money considering what we got. The hotel is small, boutique-ish (which we like) and is located down one of... More

Beautiful hotel however on our arrival ...hotel said they had over booked and moved us to another hotel around the corner...disappointed as we were packing our bags all.weekend! the other hotel was very basic in comparison to what we had originally paid for! Would love to say we would be back but I doubt it! Perfect location to termini station... More

The hotel for all intents and purposes was lovely, it's in the hotel district about a 5minute walk to Termini station which is perfect for getting around, 2 stops to the colosseum and about 10mins to the Vatican. You can walk to the colosseum in about half an hour but beware, the city is a bit of a maze, keep... More

We stayed for two nights in a family room. We arrived at 11.30pm so the reception wasn't busy, it didn't take long to check in and find our room which was clean and functional. The location of the hotel is convenient for the train station as it is only a 5 minute walk. Only two minor issues, the lift was... More

We were welcomed at reception with the strong request that we were being "Up-Graded" to a room housed in an apartment block 190 metres away, in a adjacent street a close to some very noisy bars.We were offered a reduction in our city tax to 50% of a 5 star hotel for what was a three star experience. Whilst the... More

We stayed at Hotel Royal Court for just under a week. The hotel was immaculately presented with great facilities (air-con, lifts, social areas) and situated in a great location; right by the main train station with great transport links around Rome itself and to the airport. Furthermore, there are several reasonably priced restaurants offering a varied selection of authentic Italian... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
