Quite old but the essential infrastructure has been renewed (bathroom). Bed OK. Too warm in bedroom and impossible to open the window because of street noises. Breakfast basic and OK, not more. Borderline friendly service, especially the morning desk man... Even not free water in the room, let's forget coffee completely!
This hotel is perfectly located due to its proximity to Termini train station making it especially easy to reach from the airport via the Leonardo Express. We also have chosen this location multiple times for its walking access to many of the best sights in Rome including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and so much more. On our most recent stay in September our only one complaint was the street noise that woke us up a few times. The windows were closed but they don’t seal well. If you have a choice, ask for a room either on a higher floor or away from the street out front. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection for every appetite.
We arrived late on an October afternoon and the first thing I noticed when we entered our room I noticed was spilled wine on the floor. The next morning, I found toe nail clippings on the floor from previouse guests. This was super gross! We mentioned to the front desk the next morning. They were not removed for two days! Even after that, the floors were not mopped, the spilt wine remained along with other filth on the floor. Huge dust blobs were under the bed! The art deco that was advertised was only found in the joint breakfast buffet area, along with the art deco. Apparently, the hotel does not have a buffet but shares a hall with the hotel next door. The buffet was vast and the food was good. Our room was stark with only the fire escape map was found. Our bathroom light was out for two days after this was noted to the maintenace man who came about the exceptionally slow drainage in the shower. Do not stay here if you expect a clean room. This place is a sad bleak place to stay. On a positive note, this hotel was close to many sites and the train station.…
Small rooms with a very small bathroom. Very sad breakfast, so boring. Terrible quality compared with hotels of the same range in other European capitals. Outreageous expensive for what you get. Camere piccole con una concezione anni 30 e bagno striminzito. Colazione modesta Un rapporto qualità prezzo del tutto inadeguato per una capitale europea.
Nice functional hotel, so close to the Railway Station. Room was huge, although view wasn't great - perhaps a room on the other side of hotel would be better. Breakfast was very nice, but breakfast room was very crowded, noisy and busy. The Hop on Hop off buses leave from just around the corner which is great. On our 2nd time around we got off at the Colosseum and after a good look around then just walked back to the hotel from there, an easy walk. (It was a very hot day so we did stop at a small corner bar for a beer on the way back!) The staff was very helpful.
