very good hotel not far from the city center and in a quiet area.good rooms clean and tidy.good staff and good b/fast.helpfull staff and polite.rooms with balcony are the best with a good view of the gardens opposite full of different birds.very relaxing
This turned out to be a groups hotel with little character… but we could go with that if all the rest was OK. Upon our arrival, the people at the reception could not seem more bored, the feeling we got was that they wanted to...More
Good location, close to train station, supermarket, retaurants etc. Great breakfasts. Rooms and bed comfortable. Would have appreciated a concerige to help guide us. Front desk staff busy and not as helpful as we would have liked. Consequently we wasted valuable sightseeing time.
This nice hotel in a quiet residential area several blocks from Villa Borghese. It is not near the tourist locations so be prepared to walk or take the bus (one block away) or the tram (three blocks away). Personally, my family and I liked that...More
This is the worst hotel among all for the Globus Italy Vista tour. Using different colors of carpet cannot hide the fact that laminated cabinets in rooms are old. The hotel looks just like a cheap motel that needs remodeling. Two other problems: 1. the...More

Yes, we had a good experience with Globus tours. Besides a cruise, this was our first overseas guided tour. Our travel agent recommended three companies, and Globus was the mid-range tour company. We did the Italian Sampler and our tour guide was Silvio. He was extraordinary, knowledgeable, and personable. I only saw him get flustered once. Personally, with me, once when I got upset over something, he was very compassionate. The bus drivers were good; I never felt unsafe or in danger.
The 9-day tour covered the highlights of Italy, and, the local guides were all good, but one. He was boring and long winded, so we just walked away and looked around on our own! All of the hotels were lovely, and service was good, except one. We had trouble with our room's AC, and the on site restaurant had poorly trained wait staff and terrible food. As to the extra excursions, we did not purchase any in advance. However, Silvio, being a great salesperson, talked us into doing almost all of them! We were disappointed in two of them; A 30-minute slow boat ride, and a Rice based dinner, meh. However, the opera dinner was fabulous!
My husband's and my philosophy on travel is we rarely return to a place we've already been to as there are so many more places we've yet to see. With that being said, I would book another tour with Globus in another country. I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. The company prepped us well for the trip with their handbook of information and guidelines that we received at least a month in advance. We booked our own airline travel, but everything else was handled very nicely by Globus. We booked our trip through our travel agent, so we did not deal with them directly, but I feel they are a reputable, well run company.
