Our first room was fine and big with plenty wardrobe and storage space but the air conditioning was not working properly. So after two nights we were moved. Our second room was much smaller but had a balcony. However, it didn't have a wardrobe or storage spaces, except up very high at ceiling level. There was a bar for hanging clothes but not enough hangers so this meant all our clothes were stacked on a shelf which made the room very untidy looking.
The staff are very pleasant and the quietness in the corridors/bedroom area was good. Breakfast was great and was not very busy any morning. Plenty of choice including gluten free options. There is a bus stop close to the hotel which brings you directly to Roma Termini. Also a choice of restaurants and bars locally.

I stayed at this hotel for business, located between the Salario and Parioli districts. Reception at the reception impeccable even if it arrived late in the evening. The room was a bit old-fashioned, with a 70s decor, little soundproofing and with the tenants of the opposite building who could practically look inside if the shutters were not closed. Good breakfast but, even here, in a room that more resembled a canteen.

Great hotel with exceptional housekeeping service. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Very abundant breakfast. The only problem was that the staff in the breakfast room were generally a bit disorganised. Very spacious room with the only flaw being some dents on the walls. Advised.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. The eggs tasted like plastic, breakfast was completely inedible. Rooms got extremely cold during the night, was impossible to fall asleep: 0/10 experience, save your money, do not go here. Massive waste of money, extremely impolite staff, horrible location, smelled bad.

Thought the Hotel was very good value especially for a 4 Star Hotel and in a good location. However on our arrival the receptionist took maybe 15-20 seconds to make eye contact and then no greeting at all! Simply a yes in Italian. I Put it aside and thought he might be having a bad day. Then the following day me and my partner needed to iron some cloths for an evening out. No iron in room even though it clearly stated in room amenities iron supplied. Popped down to reception to ask if room had an iron or if reception had one we could use. Gentleman at reception said NO we don’t offer any ironing services (safety issue apparently) and I would need to go to high street to dry cleaners. I was shocked and eventually showed him the Hotel amenities list and initially said no that’s not correct then conceded and said he would mention it to his manager! Not even an apology. I am half Italian myself and speak fluent Italian and the 2 gentleman I spoke to were cold, rude and not helpful at all.!
The Hotel in my opinion is no more than a 1 to maybe 2 Star at a push and I am very well traveled..
you would be much better off booking a 2-3 Star hotel at least you would get what you pay for and definitely better service..

The front desk staff was very overbearing and rude, and treated me like I was being condescending.
It was the first time I'd ever had such an unpleasant experience.

It seems like even within the same price range, the quality of the rooms can vary greatly, and it was dim and had a strange smell.
It seems to be one of the hotels recommended by major travel agencies, but if you are recommended this hotel, I would definitely recommend refusing it.

This hotel is definitely not 4 star. If you are going to Rome and want to go to all the main ancient landmarks be prepared to walk 45 minutes to an hour from this hotel. It’s 3km to Trevi fountain alone.
The beds and pillows are the worst I’ve even encountered. All our mattresses had hollowed out dents in them. We asked to be moved as we were booked for 3 nights. The second room we were moved to the beds were exactly the same. My 65 year old Mum and I used one of the pancake pillows to fill the hole and slept on top of the pillow but didn’t manage much sleep at this hotel. It’s also very noisy. The rooms have no kettle, tea or coffee facilities, not even a cork screw. No glasses either, single use plastic cups in the bathroom only.
I don’t know whether it’s an Italian thing but the front desk staff were very aggressive. I didn’t book this hotel, I stayed here as part of a tour group but I would urge you to read all reviews if you are thinking of staying here.

Outlying hotel and far from the metro. Rather pretty residential area close to Villa Borghese. Vintage decor completely in need of review and rooms poorly maintained and not soundproofed, but clean. The staff are charming. Forget breakfast, it's ordinary. Tea lovers, take yours, we are in the very low end. No teapot or hot water samovar available. Coffee and hot water from a dispenser, like in the canteen…we wait in line stuck between the tables and a post….

Quite ok spacious rooms. Good cleaning. Beds as hard as concrete. Large double duvet. The breakfast was boring with little to choose from. Hard-boiled eggs that had been boiled for hours with the yolk falling out like a marble. Quiet surroundings, but very noisy. Pleasant staff.

So far this has been an awful experience. My bed is rock hard and tiny, the bar food was expensive and the worst meal I have ever ordered (not exaggerating.). The walls are so thin that a baby crying down the hall has woken me up several times.
Do not recommend. Very unhappy with this experience.

Yes, we had a good experience with Globus tours. Besides a cruise, this was our first overseas guided tour. Our travel agent recommended three companies, and Globus was the mid-range tour company. We did the Italian Sampler and our tour guide was Silvio. He was extraordinary, knowledgeable, and personable. I only saw him get flustered once. Personally, with me, once when I got upset over something, he was very compassionate. The bus drivers were good; I never felt unsafe or in danger. The 9-day tour covered the highlights of Italy, and, the local guides were all good, but one. He was boring and long winded, so we just walked away and looked around on our own! All of the hotels were lovely, and service was good, except one. We had trouble with our room's AC, and the on site restaurant had poorly trained wait staff and terrible food. As to the extra excursions, we did not purchase any in advance. However, Silvio, being a great salesperson, talked us into doing almost all of them! We were disappointed in two of them; A 30-minute slow boat ride, and a Rice based dinner, meh. However, the opera dinner was fabulous! My husband's and my philosophy on travel is we rarely return to a place we've already been to as there are so many more places we've yet to see. With that being said, I would book another tour with Globus in another country. I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. The company prepped us well for the trip with their handbook of information and guidelines that we received at least a month in advance. We booked our own airline travel, but everything else was handled very nicely by Globus. We booked our trip through our travel agent, so we did not deal with them directly, but I feel they are a reputable, well run company.
