My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Hotel Dei Consoli for two nights, purchased via secret escapes. The hotel is dated, however, I feel this is inline with many other Italian hotels, and it does not advertise itself as modern accommodation. Our room did lack a little maintenance, as damage to the side of the bath was concealed with tape...

My partner and I came here on a 4 day secret escapes deal so we were expecting something a little more luxury. The smell of the hotel wasn't great, it needs a good clean up and refurb. The staff were nice enough and fixed the cold shower we had the first day we arrived but it still wasn't pleasant as...

Great location between the Vatican and the subway to central Rome. Very clean small rooms. Loved the breakfast on the roof top terrace. Only 1 small elevator so be prepared for stairs. The staff really sets this hotel apart.

Stayed here for 8 nights as part of a Rome City tour. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Vatican, shopping, restaurants, Metro and most anything you could want as starting point in Rome. The neighborhood was quite safe and many options for food. The breakfast buffet was good with a wide assortment of bread and pastries. The...

After staying in 4 different hotels in Italy, in 4 different cities, the Dependance hotel del consoli, was beyond disappointing. First of all, I was never informed that the check in was 4 blocks away from where my room was...Yes, you read that right. My room was located in a hotel called Amali, not the Dependance Hotel, as it was...

Stayed here with my mum during a city break and we loved it. Very charming hotel with friendly staff. Highlight was definitely the roof terrace, they serve the breakfast there and it's an amazing way to start your day with great views of the Vatican and surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.

I loved the locality of this cozy hotel. It is close to the metro, amazing restaurants in the area, great upscale name brand stores in the neighborhood. The hotel itself is very nice and the highlight for us was having breakfast on the rooftop terrace. ps: breakfast was absolutely superb.

Best hotel till now, we come to Rome every year sometimes even more than once, found this hotel on secret escapes at a rate of 90 euro per night breakfast included. Location is perfect, not only close to Vatican city but at walking distance of other top locations. We had a rental car to drive up to umbria, hotel had...

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
