Location near Sapienza University; service and rooms fulfil the expectations concerning a decent city hotel; although right at the corner of a busy street, sufficiently silent. All in all: can be recommended for a short stay.

I chose to stay at the BEST WESTERN Globus Hotel for two reasons-first, it has a good rating, second the photos show nice rooms and in particular -a very nice bathroom. I try to stay away from hotel showers that have shower curtains and choose only hotels that show showers with shower glass walls, as is the case for this...

I stayed for one night for work. It was fine - nothing spectacular, but clean and the staff were very nice and spoke excellent English, which I appreciated as my Italian is fairly limited. I had a room on the second floor - it overlooked the main road and was noisy, so I was glad I'd packed my trusty ear...

I was there for one night only and for work reasons. Room was ok and well decorated, but difficult to sleep with street noise. The service was decent but a bit slow. Fine breakfast with enough variety of food.

Room was well looked after, breakfast was as good as any recently in Italy, France and Spain. Reception were always cheerful and willing to help. We spent every day out and basically used it as a bed and breakfast, so cannot comment on meals etc.

Good buffet breakfast and just 3 blocks from a Metro station for quick access to most of Rome's major attractions. A few good restaurants nearby & lots of student eateries as well. Staff is very helpful when asked for information. There was a metro strike so I ended up having to walk back to hotel from St Peters which was...

We enjoyed staying at this comfy hotel during our first few nights in Rome. Room (triple ) was a bit small but well equipped n clean. I was surprised by the wide variety of food at the breakfast buffet... being a 3* hotel. Loved the restaurant area...very modern n pretty. Courteous and obliging staff....full of smiles:) Great hotel to stay...

Don't be fooled by the exterior. Very nice hotel, large clean rooms. Great breakfast. Great staff. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet, secure. The buildings exterior is a bit deceiving but all is great through the front doors. Close to Termini Station(short 15-20 min walk)

We were stuck for a place to stay and this place was available. It isn't in the best area or most convenient for sight seeing. It is close to the university and a few restaurants and pizza shops. It is 20min walk to termini station which has a grocery store, restaurants, shopping and a post office. It is about 90min...

Reception staff was very friendly, enjoyed our stay and would recommend it too. Only thing I would highlight is that there was no air-con working in the room as the hotel operates central heating and cooling system which was off at this time of the year so for the guest who are not comfortable sleeping at night in 25 degree...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
