It was about 8 minutes walk from the train station. The surrounding area was not very good, lots of emptied buildings, the street was dirty and at times smelly. The hotel itself looked nice and they had their own back garden. When we checked in, we were told no food or drinks allowed to be taken out of the breakfast... More

Good location, a short walk away from Roma Termini and city bus station. Easy to get to most of the sights. Rooms are small, staff are helpful, breakfast not great. Several good restaurants very nearby for dinner. I stayed here several years ago and I would probably stay here again when in Rome.

This is a 3 star that feels like a 4 star! Great value! Close to the train station, and lots of close amenities like laundromat and nice, cheap restaurants! The concierge was AMAZING!!! The staff was great and the room was acceptable. It would be very easy to give this place a 4... But considering the value for your money,... More

Good things: next to train terminal., nice views, great staff! Kudos to Lorenzo. He was so helpful and friendly! Be aware before you book: the surrounding area is very not as good. Not in a good area. Some dangerous looking characters hanging around the corner. Be careful! Rooms are tiny! Bathroom is tiny. Beds are hard. Overall it's okay, but... More

First off the hotel itself is a BNB. The room itself is cozy, but dont expect it to be high end. The bathroom was actually nice and clean. The bed was hard, but again its just to sleep and when your tired you fall like a rock. There is a garden at least in the back were we were situated.... More

Friendly staff, walkable distance from the Roma Termini, a pretty decent triple room, a good spread for breakfast - were all nice. The AC is not effective enough for the room and so naturally took hours to drive the heat out of the room. Access to WiFi from the rooms should be strengthened. All staff were pleasant and friendly.

The staff was nice but the room was very small. Hard bed which they fixed with a foam pad. No coffee or food allowed in room. Breakfast was not good. Expired butter! Bruised fruit. Cold eggs. Instant coffee I think. Area is safe but lots of graffiti

Gorgeous hotel in quiet location yet central to railway and bus terminal. Clean, love the decor, small room with balcony overlooking orchard...very pleasant. Breakfast was good, concierge very helpful at finding us a wonderful restaurant he suggested which we loved. Lifts little small but appreciated and bathrooms had all amenities needed...loved our stay.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and had a wonderful experience. This time the check procedure was irritating. We had a booking for 3 people for 2 nights and needed to add one more night. I realize there is an extra charge for the third person. However the manager would not let me finish a single sentence.... More

Unfortunately, because if one super rude employee I have to give this hotel a bad review. We have been staying here since yesterday and were satisfied until just now when we got back and the receptionist stopped us at the door demanding to know what we wanted. We told him we were staying here but he still didn't let us... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
