This hotel is situated in a square so there is not really any through traffic, just the odd taxi. turn right, right again then left and you are at the Pantheon. Every corner we turned we were at some fantastic site. Hotel itself: the staff were just so friendly and helpful from the doormen to all the reception staff. Continental... More

Enjoyed the sophisticated atmosphere of this hotel located on the Parliament’s Piazza Montecitorio. Our deluxe room was large and had a view of the square – which is quiet by night except for an occasional screech of a bird or two. Excellent service is everywhere and a well-stocked bar, hosted by a barman who knows a good dry martini when... More

Hotel Nazionale is an excellent hotel in the very center of Rome. The staff is very professional and nice, the room (we were upgraded to a corner room, which is bigger than usual) is superb! The breakfast is great, location ideal for everywhere (50 meter from the best ice-cream in Rome - in a weektime we reviewed all the tastes...)... More

My husband and I stayed at hotel Nazionale in August for two nights. We stayed in a room that overlooked the piazza. The room itself was very clean and a good size. The bathroom was large compared to others we had seen. The bed was ver comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well although was noisey. There was a... More

The view from the balcony is magnificent! Wifi stopped working on the morning that we were going to leave - minor glitch. Otherwise, friendly, homy, comfy. Location is wonderful! Probably, our room is not for those who don't like to climb up and down: it was a three-storey.

The hotel location is so nice on the secure and quiet square; around the corner from the best gelato in Italy; and we could walk to everything. So nice! Excellent breakfast with a big buffet with beautiful breads and pastries and fruit. Lobby, lounge and small bar are marble and lovely; rooms plenty large, a bit old school; bathrooms updated.with... The hotel is Centrally located, (the next building to the Italian Parliament), and is just five minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain and fifteen to the Spanish Steps. It's about a thirty to forty minute walk to the Vatican. The hotel has both beautifully decorated and furnished public rooms and bedrooms. Very good reliable wifi and room service. The service... For a visit to Rome, the location justifies the price of this hotel. It is not outrageous in pricing because the airlines put up their crews at this hotel. Because it is next door to the Italian Parliament, it is very secure and not over-run with tourists as almost every other square in Rome seems to be. As such, it... More

I was traveling with my 3year old baby and my parents so the location of the hotel was really important. And this hotel was just perfect. In the middle of trevi and pantheon just 5minutes walk. We walked to the colloseum and other sights too. The hotel staff was great and the hotel breakfast was nice too. Very clean and... More

Lovely hotel .. the staff which greeted us when we first arrived were more than happy to make us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us . The room was lovely and kept very clean during our 5 night stay . The air conditioning was the quietest I've ever known in a hotel and the bed was very comfortable... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
