First thing you notice in this hotel is the glamorous lobby and bar. You can tell it is a very old hotel that has been kept up well. Choosing a room was confusing as they offer a deluxe/superior category at quite a bit more than the 'classic' or standard room. We went with that hoping it would be larger. It wasn't and that was disappointing. I didn't see the classic room so I can't compare but our room was very well appointed. While the room was small, the bathroom was a good size and well done with plenty of towels and toiletries with a nice size shower. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The hotel is very well located with a short walk to major sights and restaurants. The elevator was efficient and quick. The breakfast was very good. The croissants were the best and there were some good cold cuts with bread and cheese. While a bit pricey for the room size, I would definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived in Rome at 7am and made it to the hotel by about 8:30am. After a long flight and jet lag we were hoping our room would be ready, but understood it may not be. The receptionist was so nice and was able to quickly accommodate us into a room within an hour. They offered us cappuccinos while we waited. The room was very clean, plenty of room, and the bed was amazingly comfortable (I don’t generally sleep in and slept almost 9 hours the first night). There was a safe in the closet if needed and the closet was large enough to fit large suit cases. The breakfast in the morning had fine options. It’s not your typical large American breakfast, but we don’t travel abroad to get typical American anything, lol. There was cold cereal w/ milk, toast, a selection of pastries, deli meat, yogurt, boiled eggs, orange juice, and various types of coffee. You don’t immediately realize it, but this hotel is perfectly located near all the must see sights. It’s near the Parliament, 5-10 min walk to Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps (which are near the “fashion district”), it’s in very close proximity to the best restaurants, 25 minute walk to the area near the colosseum, and so much more. You won’t necessarily need an Uber or car service to get around. Wear comfortable shoes like any place in Rome. The cobblestone will become uncomfortable in the wrong shoes and all-day walking. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Functional-ish. You know the 10 things a nice 4-star hotel does to make your trip extra nice? This one does about two of them. AC doesn't work. Had to ask three times about dinner reservations ... and they never got it right. Not expensive. Not great.

We have had to cancel our trip to Rome 3 time due to the coronavirus. The staff at the hotel have been brilliant, each time we have postponed they have been very helpful and have replied to my emails promptly. Fingers crossed we make it next May

Checked-in and was immediately upgraded to a suite! The blonde lady at the front desk (sorry I didn't catch her name) was very friendly and gave some good tips of where to go, what to see and even where to eat! The hotel is in an excellent location close to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Victor Emmanuel II Memorial, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Vatican so its a great place to stay. Also located just round the corner from a delightful gelato place, Giolitti! Will definitely consider staying here again, if I come back to Rome again.
