Generally a really nice clean hotel, but be prepared for the crowds of tours that frequent this place. They have multiple breakfast rooms, the American one in the back often runs out of things and is left with a lot of dirty tables, the food is ok quality if it hasn't run out. I wouldn't recommend the Italian pizza restaurant... More

Very good hotel located in a great place exactly at the historical center. You can go everywhere on foot but even if you want to take metro the station is only 3blocks away. Nice clean and quiet hotel. Many restaurants and pizzerias around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cicerone. The rooms were spacious, clean and had good air conditioning. The hotel is well located, close to the Vatican and to the Lepanto metro station. The breakfast is good and we were greeted every morning by very friendly waiters. It is close to an excellent restaurant Fermento. Our only issue was with... More

We spent 9 nights in Hotel Cicerone while on a pilgrimage in Rome. The hotel was in need of some refurbishing but was overall a comfortable stay. It seemed to cater to groups on tour. It was generally quiet and we felt safe in the area. The hotel pizzeria was said to be excellent. It also had a bar/lounge where... More

Fab place to stay ina great location. Stayed here with my daughter when we wandered around Rome in May 2016. Well located and some lovely places to eat close by. Handy and safe for women travelling alone.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel! I can't understand how to Italy the hotels gets the stars! The staff is very kind the hotel is too old and too noisy! You can hear everything because the walls are very thin... 20 minutes walk from fontana di trevi. Breakfast is ok. In conclusion is nothing special you can definitely... More

The first day I came to that hotel there was a burglar and it was horrible situation.. When you leave they will ask you for more taxes although... More

It's a very decent hotel at a fair price in an excellent location. Central to the Vatican and the center of old Rome. The staff can be a bit on the indifferent side. That's the way it was last year and this year as well. I forgive them because of all the other pluses.

It is very close to vatican city. Also metro is like 2 mins away walking. My boyfriend and I like to walk so we reach most of all the touristic places walking. Is a good facility and their pizza restaurant is really really good. Room was cleaned every day and bed was comfortable. Don't expect to much for bfast, is... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cicerone hotel is a large, bright, modern building perfectly inserted in the nineteenth century architectural style of the Prati district. In spite of its large size the hotel is very warm and welcoming providing a very comfortable environment for guests.
