Place is not correspond to 5 stars at all, and surely overpriced. Much more better options for same price or cheaper can be found around. I hoped that sofitel is good name and room and service correspond to the chain, but no. Room was really small and tired, carpet with spots (hate it), dirty scratch on the walls, smell in...

Nice location, close all districts you need in Rome. Great ,clean rooms, especiell rooms to Borghese side. The staff are very helpfull. From roof restaurant great views over the city, and coctails well done. Only negativ thing is the breakfast ( 30 euro), not worth it. We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel, located on a quiet street near the Spanish Steps and the Via Veneto. We had a spacious traditionally decorated room and our friends had a modern room with a walk in closet. Both rooms were very nice with modern, clean bathrooms. We all agreed that the beds were top quality with very comfortable...

We stayed in the Sofitel Villa Borghese recently for three nights for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was tastefully decorated with a spacious bathroom. The shower had good pressure and our corner room (409) had windows on three sides so there was lots of light in the room which was great. While not centrally...

We had bookend stays during our trip to Italy. Two nights at the beginning and one night at the end. We had a welcome gift of wine and strawberries and delighted in much needed nap immediately after arrival in a very comfortable bed. Sunset cocktails at La Terrasse followed by an easy walk to unnumbered fabulous restaurants make this the...

The location is excellent, walking distance from Villa Borghese Park, Piazza di Spagna and other Rome's wonders. The hotel is overall very nice as all Sofitel, but it has no gym nor wellness and the area where breakfast is served looks like that of a 3 stars. They should serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking Rome and my rate...

The Sofitel in Rome is a lovely, boutique-sized hotel with higher end services and accommodations. The staff are helpful, the rooms are large enough and outfitted with very nice linens and décor. The inclusive breakfast is both convenient and delicious. The only caution, which was not as much of a concern for me but you should consider is that the...

We had a most excellent stay for our honeymoon in Rome. The staff were excellent and amazingly nice! We found wine and fruit in our room upon arrival, and later on in the stay, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. It was just amazing. The room was comfortable and wonderfully dark. The continental breakfast in the morning was just great. Close...

I was given a room at the back of the hotel and the bottom of the corridor on the 3rd floor despite my Platinum Status. We has to ask twice for a 4 pm late check out. I did not enjoy my stay and won't go back.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
