This hotel is very close to the Spanish steps and is therefore an ideal location for a weekend off or a city trip. For me it was a combination of business with some days of vacation. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The whole hotel is full of marble without being overwelmining. There is plenty of choice...

This was our first trip to Rome as part of our honeymoon. Sofitel has always been a favourite of ours, having stayed in New York, LA, Chicago, Paris, and London with them previously. I booked online via the Accor website and requested a quiet room and let them know we were going to be visiting on our honeymoon. Our room...

Everything was amazing again from start. It was my second time staying here and it won't be my last. On arrival after a long flight from Australia we were given a warm welcome from concierge, our bags were up in our room before we checked in. It was cold and wet and raining but the welcome was very warm. Even...

I am a fan of Sofitel and stay in them whenever I can. Last stayed here 5 years ago and returned last weekend for six nations rugby. The hotel standards are as good as ever in terms of the staff attentiveness and the public areas, I would have to say the room we had was looking shabby and needs a...

Fantastic trip to Rome which was only made better by staying at this fantastic hotel. The location is brilliant, very central to be able to walk to most places! 10 mins from the top of the Spanish steps. The hotel helped us book a couple of tours and the service was always exceptional. This is my second visit.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
