This is supposed to be a four star hotel, the hotel is ok but by no means is it four star. The room was very small, the maids wake you up early every morning and you can hear all the noise from the rooms next to you. There is no bar as such in the hotel, just a table full... More

We stayed here in July during a very hot Summer time in Italy. I don't recommend coming to Italy in July. Pick a cooler time. This hotel is something I would recommend though. It had lovely spacious rooms, clean bathroom, great dining area and drinks lounge and breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The breakfast staff were lovely... More

Place is ok, tiny rooms with not much sound proofing between rooms. Checkin was smooth. Buffet breakfast is good with some quite attentive staff. Cleaners (on fourth floor anyhow) were seriously noisy and like to start beating whatever they can find at roughly 8:30, which is a great way to wake up, they do an ok job of cleaning though.... We booked a five night stay at The Duke Hotel, while not right in the central area of Rome, we felt it was close enough for us to walk in and out of the city (approx 2km to Piazza del Popoli). Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was good, the reception staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for... More

We booked a superior room and we weren't disappointed. It was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We didn't have a safe as it had been locked open and no-one knew how to fix it so we went three nights without. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast has something for everyone. Good points were that the hotel provides a... More

I stayed in this hotel last week while attending a scientific conference at the nearby Auditorium. The room was quiet and comfortable. However, the hotel recommended a car service to take me and a colleague to the airport. The trip to the airport was the most harrowing driving experience that I have ever had. At high speed, the driver kept... More

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 7 nights. There was a welcoming letter from the hotel owners in my room (was very nice:)) The room is not very big, but it’s very cosy and nice. I had everything I needed – refrigerator, TV, free safe-box, 2 glasses. Service is perfect. They clean rooms, change towels and bring toiletries every... More

Lovely welcome with map and description of how to get around. Really useful 'Handy' smart phone which was free as was the shuttle to Piazza Popolo .....need to book in advance to get the time slot you need! Family rooms were ideal...connecting with a small lobby in between. Rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
