Our room was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was lovely, good variety and plenty to keep us going. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Great hotel and within walking distance of main attractions. Thanks to Amalfi Hotel for an enjoyable stay in Rome!

Pros Good central location within 15 - 30 mins walk to all attractions except Vatican but buses run frequently Good sized rooms compared with more expensive hotels in the city. Very helpful and pleasant receptionists. Elderly gentlemen who comes in the evening can be abrupt but not sure if this is because of the language problem. Air conditioning very effective....

My wife and I stayed at The Amalfi for 4 nights from 27th September. I can only reinforce the many positive reviews for this hotel. The hotel and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Every member of staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a great location to explore Rome. Although we are not so young and agile...

This is a very nice hotel & centrally located. The front desk people are exceptional. We had a mishap while we were there which involved leaving a backpack in a taxi & losing all our travel vouchers & train tickets. These great people called taxi cab companies for us & allowed us to use their personal computer to reprint all...

Loved this hotel! Hearing the bells chiming from the nearby church was great. Location was ideal - close to tour companies, restaurants, cafés and the big train station. Not a far walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps (30 minutes or so and lots to see along the way). Incredibly friendly staff that remembers your name & room number each...

This hotel was in a good location and next to the beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore and was great for our 3 night stay in Rome. Our room was quite small but just what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Slightly disappointed that there was only a shower in our bathroom and after a long day walking around Rome...

We stayed one night recently and chose this hotel based on its location to the Coliseum. Staff were friendly. Loved the restaurant that Francesco recommended. Shower is tiny but was enclosed so did not flood the floor like those at many other Italian hotels. We had to leave at 3:30 am to catch a plane back to U.S. and staff...

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Amalfi for 3 days, 2 nights. Aside from the great location, and cleanliness of this hotel what we loved the most was the staff. The hotel is primarily run by family. Cosimo, Francesco(Cosimos son) & Domenico were all very helpful and made my husband and I feel like family. The complimentary breakfast was...

The Good: The hotel is lovely and is in an excellent location. Step out the front door, look to your left, and in front of you is the Santa Maria Maggiore. The bus stop is across the street, and the shop to purchase your metro tickets (tabbachi) is just two or three shops away from the hotel. Lots of restaurants...
