- Excellent triple - Breakfast was delicious and varied. - Hotel management offered us surprise Christmas gift - Helped us whenever we had to solve something - windows not isolated, so choose rooms that are not on the road. - Breakfast has a time limit too short (9.30), although the reserved space is insufficient if you descend after 8.30.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your beautiful review! We're glad you have appreciated your stay in our family Hotel! Being an historical building we do not have a lot of space and is true that our breakfast room sometimes can be full and may need to wait some minutes. We have anyway a free service of breakfast in the room...

The winning value of this hotel is the friendly staff from concierge to the breakfast room. There was this lady who would (like the Italian mothers in the movies) remind me to eat more. LOL. As for location there may be other locations that are better if you want to be close to most of the attractions; but, it is...

Dear Guest, Thankyou very much for your nice words! We're glad you appreciated our location in front of one of the most important church in Italy, Santa Maria Maggiore! Rione Monti is the oldest district of Rome just 10 minutes from the historical center of Rome with the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Not far also the commercial area of...

Our stay at the Amalfi Hotel was quite enjoyable. The best quality of the hotel was the location. It was a short walk from Rome Termini to the hotel, and a short walk to many of Rome's most well-known attractions. For attractions that were further away (e.g. Vatican City), there were many metro stations nearby. The room was comfortable, with...

We have been here with my husband and our little daughter in December. The hotel is located in the heart of Rome (very convenient for families with babies and with no car). The staff super friendly and helpful (trust me with a small baby you need loads of help). The rooms nicely decorated and super clean! Would definitely recommend. Thanks...

The room is small, but nice - comfortable bed. The street can be a little noisy (I was on the 2nd floor), but nothing that kept me from sleeping. The staff - front desk and housekeeping/breakfast staff - were very warm, friendly, and helpful. And the location, just a few minutes walk from Termini in one direction, and maybe 10-12...

Reception always attended by courteous and helpful staff. Room small but the norm for Rome, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was a little more than the usual continental type, yogurt, bread, fruit, croissants, scrambled eggs, cheese and ham. The price was very good value and the hotel just far enough away from the train station(about 5 minutes). There are cafes and restaurants...

This is the best location: less than 10 minute walk from Termini, 10 minutes to the colosseum, close to good restaurants and easy 5 minute walk to catch the hop on/hop off bus to tour the city. We had a great view of the city street & St. Maria from our room and, amazingly, it was very quiet at night!...

This is my 3rd visit to Rome and the 1st for my husband. Don't judge the looks of the auberge from the outside. If you are a daily mass goer this is the place for you. The hotel is so close from the Santa Maria Maggiore. It is close to the train station and if you don't have a lot...

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
