Room was nice and modern. Breakfast was great with wide variety of good quality food. Staff very helpful. Smartphones in room were a nice touch. Good location 7 minute walk from metro and 10 minute taxi from termini station. Easy to walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain.

We stayed 3 nights in Rome at the Hotel Savoy. It is located in a great neighborhood. Front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. The staff of the rooftop bar was delightful. Rooms were nice and the bathrooms were very large for European standards. The hotel provided a great quiet nights' sleep.

Situated on a leafy street , has a beautiful facade, though the foyer looks a little tired. We stayed in a superior room which was a lovely large comfortable room with clean and spacious bathroom. The staff were very helpful and tried their best to assist us with all of our enquiries. It was reasonable price for the summer season... More

What really makes this Hotel stand out from most Hotels are the friendly Front Office staff... They couldn't have made us feel more welcomed... Nothing was too much trouble... The breakfast on offer is superb and more than enough for any Traveller to start the day. The size of the Room and the way it was furnished was great... We... More

Just arrived back after 4 days in Rome The Savoy Hotel is well appointed and within walking distance of Spanish Steps / Trevi Fountain etc etc ....... Front desk were exceptional and went the extra mile to ensure your stay was perfect ...... Unfortunately a large number of restaurants & shops are closed for the August holiday and the streets... The hotel room was very clean and looks like it is modernized. Didn't care for the bathtub it was narrow so hard to stand in it and no mirroring room made it hard when sharing a room. Bar on upper level roof nice view, but I can't see any landmarks at night like it showed in some pics on the... More

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting Rome and pleased with the hotel. Location was near the American embassy and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. The hotel bar on the 7th floor is worth visiting for the view even if the drinks are a little expensive. Would stay again.

This hotel is in the heart of the city. Very well appointed, comfortable rooms. We had an average room, king bed, not too large, but we only slept in the room. The rooftop bar was amazing, with a view of the Vatican at night, so beautiful. The food was very good, breakfast was included and delicious. There is a computer... More

I married my Italian bride last month and wanted to welcome all of the travelling Irish guests to Rome with some wine and food on the classy rooftop terrace. From the very start, the manager Aldo was a pleasure to deal with. A real professional who was there and overlooking everything and ensuring everything went smoothly on the night too.... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Savoy. The hotel itself and room were very nice. There were several nice restaurants we enjoyed within walking distance, and there were two train stations within a reasonable walk to get to other areas of Rome. The location overall was convenient. The rooftop was a great place to go in... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
