Difficult to sleep with the noise of the Housekeepers chatting and using what seemed like internal phones/walkie talkies to communicate with each other. Didn't help that our room was very close to the Linen/Laundry cupboard. Good location.

Very central to all of the main tourist attractions. Santa Maria Maggiore less than 100 metres away. Staff very friendly and accommodating especially evening staff at the 6th floor bar. Hotel is spotless and great value for money. Would definitely stay there again!

Helpful staff, perfect location. We stayed mid Feb and if it wasn't the building work that woke me early after a late night, I probably would have given the hotel full marks. They did offer us an alternative room. No hassle! Oh showers face the wrong way, which is a little annoying.

Ground floor rooms with constant traffic and noise from passersby. Breakfast dreadful and very disorganized. Lift hit and miss. Location close to termini station makes it convenient for getting around. Would not return or recommend.

The hotel is well situated with a walking distance from the train station, the bus station and the shopping areas . A first timer can easily go around and identify the hotel with little difficulty as it is just by the road side .

We were away for 3 nights. The room was of adequate size and cleaned every day. Breakfast was fantastic and the hotel was in the perfect place to see all the must see sights. Hotel staff were all friendly and happy to help.

Had a 2 night stay here in February to close out our Italian vacation. There is some remodeling ongoing, unfortunately right next to our room. The room itself was spacious, but had unfinished door mouldings, drywall seams, and lack tub/shower sealant. The door or frame was warped, and made opening and closing quite an effort. The bathroom door frame had...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel's elegant interiors, attended to in their every detail and made precious by the courteous and professional ambience provided by its staff, make of the Hotel Palladium Palace one of the most successful 4 star hotels in Rome. A magnificent late 19th century edifice houses the hotel's interiors, with its (24 hr) reception adorned in classic noble wood furnishings coordinated with marble. The common areas in the Hotel Palladium Palace are embellished with sophisticated and refined details, such as findings of ancient fragments of marble friezes. The hotel's guests have access to the lobby and TV room, the bar (always open), and the breakfast hall with its American style buffet (serving sweet and savory offerings). The gym features a sauna, a rarity for a 4 star hotel in Rome, and an ideal choice for those who want to keep fit during their vacation or business trip in a hotel in Rome. The Hotel Palladium Palace's most spectacular feature is its rooftop, with a panoramic terrace on the last floor of the building, overlooking the rooftops and cupolas of Rome, where the hotel's guests can enjoy the privilege of having breakfast or spending relaxing moments in good company. ... more   less
