After staying at this hotel, I can honestly say, I loved everything about it. from the humongous wooden doors leading through to the vintage, quirky lift up into your secure rooms. Felt very safe, loved how you went from the old part of the building into the modern new rooms. Really couldn't complain. A fabulous breakfast, which was continually topped... More

We stayed at the Gambrinus two weeks ago, It was our third time there. On our arrival we had trouble with the electrics in the room, the shower ws also "not hot." We told the person on Reception and we were moved to a new room, which was excellent. We like this hotel because we were able to walk to... More

My friend and I are not a couple and when booking the Gambrinus Hotel had requested a twin room with an additional note to stress that we wanted twin beds. When we arrived at around 9pm for our short two night stay on Friday 12 August we asked whether our room did indeed have twin beds. The response from the... More

My room was small, the carpets were dirty, one tiny lift serves the whole hotel and it took forever. Breakfast was not up to scratch at all. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was close enough to the centre of Rome. But I would not stay here again. No real bar/ lounge to relax in.

We got to our hotel a little earlier than planned. They have a very receptive waiting area with drinks, comfortable chairs and a separate area to check email etc. when our room was ready we were called to check in. The staff was VERY nice. Our rooms were nice and cool and very quiet. It is within walking distance of... More

Hotel Gambrinus Roma is located on a peaceful place in eastern Roma. The noice from the traffic couldn´t be heard to our room. Our room was pretty small but clean and nicely decorated. The air conditioning worked well in our room. Breakfast was great and there was plenty to eat. Mr Ruel was always eager to help and make our... More

Loved our stay here and the location is perfect (20-30 minute walk to Rome centre and just a few minutes by bus). Most of the staff here and in Rome are Filipino who are very warm and helpful people, a specially Ruel & Pina who prepared the buffet breakfast (07:00 - 10:00) everyday and took the time to chat and... Can't recommend this hotel, due to poor staffing, bad customer service our trip came to an end fairly soon after arriving. What was said in the hotel description does not match what you receive. Breakfast is disgusting, rooms small, air con doesn't work well, neither does wifi. Lift slow, if you're in a hurry leave ten minutes before. Out of... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a week and I cannot fault it! The staff were brilliant; so kind and helpful. The wifi wasn't that great but that didn't bother us as we went to Rome for an adventure not to sit on our phones. Planning our next visit next year and defiantly staying in this hotel... More

I came to Italy as a break away with a friend. We were so excited to stay in this 4 star hotel, near the centre of the Rome. The room was small and very basic. The old, very slow lift stopped and started and left us worried we would be stuck in. Reception staff were helpful but only to a... More
