Neighborhood
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

We were looking for a hotel that was very close to Termini Station. Hotel Gioberti was about a 5 minute walk - it was super easy and convenient. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable. Nothing super fancy but great option for the price. We didn’t find it to be super noisy

This hotel is stunning! The rooms were immaculate, breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Good location as walking distance from all major attractions. Would most definitely recommend.

The room was clean and recently renovated. Breakfast was good and near the train station. Only problem with the location was there were a lot of shady people roaming around. Not much police visibility. Also, there is no help with the luggage.

This hotel is really lovely, it’s clean and very well maintained. The rooms are designed with taste. All the air conditioning worked perfectly, we had no issue with being too hot or cold. The bathroom shower leaked slightly, but nothing the towels wouldn’t mop up. The breakfast

The easiest way is to hire a private car to take you directly from the hotel to the ship. You can also go by train but once you get to the port you have to hire a taxi and many taxis cannot take you all the way to the ship, so you have to walk with all your luggage.
