Everything was wonderful - great location, quirky, characterful & comfortable apartment. Ideal for long or short stays. The agent who checked us in was exceptionally helpful with local information & advice, and organised an airport transfer for us. Exactly like the photos although they make living area look a bit bigger than it is but overall it is a very... More

Some of the employees were nice, but that's as positive as this review's gonna get. We were initially told there were no rooms, then accomodated to a shared bathroom floor. Everything smelled of rotting animal. The sheets were sometimes dirty. One shower had no hot water, the other one cycled between hot and cold as you bathed. In essence the... More

The place is the worst. We were 3 and they gave us a room in a floor with two more rooms and a songle bathroom. The bathroom was small and very dirty, the toilet smelled bad and the shower was full of other's hairs. The room had an awfull smell, and it had a closet which was full of dirt... More

We spend just one night and thanks God! The room really dirty, we had to clean the shower before use it. One recepcionist really friendly and kind but the night shift... I cannot believe that the recepcionist in a (creepy)hostel in Italy only speak Italian, French and Bangladish not English, c´mon man ENGLISH not Russian, Chinese or Zulu... The similar... More

The room was very small and noisy. The attached bathroom was not there, it was outside of the room and the hotel guy refused to give us another room with attached bathroom as requested in our booking. Definitely a scam and overall it was a horrible experience. Also, a couple of "excellent" reviews here on Tripadvisor seems suspicious as the... More

I enjoyed every minute of my stay in the Rome at this beautiful hotel. The service was excellent, the suite was outstanding and the breakfast was wonderful. It is within walking distance of good shopping and many great sites such as Roman Colosseum, museums and the train station. This hotel is elegant and I would recommend it to anyone looking... More

My friend and I booked 4 nights at 'Beautiful Place in Rome' only to be roomed at the 'LAM Guest House'. We were given a dorm-like room even though we booked a private room and our washing machine did not work along with other poor and unclean facilities. To get our private room they then moved us FOUR BLOCKS away... More

Beautiful place in Rome is virtual hotel as it is part of Lam guest house. We booked room in guest house but been transferred after 2 nights due to hot water problems. We booked and paid for everything 1month in advance and we asked for a room with 4 separate beds and it's own toilet but instead we were crammed in a room with a double bed and a bunk bed, shared toilet!!! After we complained about it they didn't even apologize and only in 2 days they moved us to a... More

I think this is my first time writing a review for a hostel. Especially a negative one. I have stayed at a good amount of hostels through out my travels and this is THE worst hostel I've ever stayed at. I've also slept on the side of the road while hitchhiking and I'd rather do that than stay here again.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
