The hotel is a little further from the center. To center should take tram 8 (5 min walk from the hotel to the tram station) and then 15 minutes to Venice Square. The hotel is good in terms of the 3 stars. The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast room attendant Breakfast is pretty shabby, everything... More

I would not recommend this hotel to my enemies. Unfortunately, I was there for 6 days, it was not a favorable experience for my first time in Europe on my birthday. The website was very misleading. It stated that breakfast was included in the stay, it was not. It was available for an additional cost. I showed the website that... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night and we were so glad it wasn't longer. The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly, as were any housekeeping staff and the breakfast room attendant. It's really too bad that the rooms and halls appear so seedy. Although the hotel has only been there since 1989, the rooms seem like they... More

The hotel is bit hard to find if you dont have a gps. Its in a quiet place with not much around it but just a supermarket and a few bars. The hotel is very dated , old looking and you can hear drain pipes going when another room is either showering or flushing. Our room was quite clean but... More

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights. It is a modest one, with a good quality-price value. The room was clean and had a kitchenette. Though we were there just for a few days, our towels were changed daily. In the morning we had breakfast but the menu it wasn't a generous one. We could choose to eat croissants, eggs,... More

Visited here with my fiancée for 4 nights. The hotel is a little dated and pretty basic. It's about 10 minutes outside the city centre but it's easily accessible by the number 8 tram (which arrives every 10 minutes). There is a vending machine on the ground floor for drinks and little snacks. Breakfast is basic continental with pastries coffee... More

GENERAL IMPRESSION: I've stayed in this hotel for 1 week. Everything was as advertised: a clean room of reasonable size, with safe-box, kitchenette and bathroom, and a simple coffee-and-snack breakfast in the common hall at the ground floor. NEIGHBOURHOOD: The neighbourhood is a residential district, quiet and safe. There are some groceries within 5-min walk from the hotel. As for... More

I thought the hotel had a cute look to it. The hotel is a little far from the city center, about an hour walk to it. If you take tram #8 then it takes 20 mins to get to the city center. Breakfast is included but a very light one. Cappuccino, bread, hot chocolate and cereal are just a few... More

I thought this hotel was a good basic hotel. It is somewhat outdated, but is good for a few nights. The hotel staff did seem rude at first, but were friendlier as the days went on. The bed was very firm and the bathroom small but adequate. I never had any issues with housekeeping. They cleaned my room every day.... More

We spent long weekend at this hotel. It is a bit uphill, but 10min walk from tram that will take you to Piazza Venezia. Rooms we nice and clean even a bit outdated (they still use old fashion keys and toilet was kind of 2 star hotel). Staff was very kind and helpful and whole area where hotel is placed... More

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
