First and foremost the poeple are extremely nice and helpful. They will try to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they can, and they can be very flexible to your needs. Alessandro who is tending to the B&B is a wonderful guy, and his advice regarding Rome features is priceless. Nobody from the owners or staff will ever bother you with anything and they will make you feel at home. Also they all speak English very well so you will have no trouble communicating with them.

The area is not in the very center of the city, but it's not far and the main attractions can be reached fairly easy. You have a bus station at about 1-200 m (max 3-5 minute walk if you're taking your time). You can take bus 75 from there to get to the Colosseum (and the attractions around it), and with bus 75 you can also get to Termini station (about 30 minutes ride). Bus 75 also connects with other buses, trams and metros along its route so you can get to any place you want in maximum an hour...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
