Fabulous suite with amazing terrace giving a view of Rome's magnificent skyline . The Berg is in an ideal location ( minutes from the Spanish Steps ) for exploring Rome. .Extremely spacious room and bathroom of imaginative contemporary design - it just looks great. Staff had a lovely friendly professionalism. Sad to leave and would definitely stay there again.

Booked our reservation through venere.com in July for our stay in early October & were very disappointed to arrive at the hotel early evening (after reconfirming our reservation that afternoon) to find that they had overbooked the hotel & didnt have a room for us. They then tried to relocate us to a hotel around the corner which wasnt up...

We recently spent 3 nights at the Berg and overall had a good stay. I would say there we a few pieces missing that you might usually spot at a 4 star, but it was a great price for the location so no real complaints. PROS Fantastic location (easy walking distance to Spanish Steps and othe key sights) Sleek design...

We booked the suite with the terrace for three nights through Expedia. On arrival we were taken to a room which was obviously not the one we booked. We were not told prior to being taken to the wrong room that it was not the one we booked. This was at best deceptive conduct in the hope we would not...

We were thoroughly disappointed by this hotel for multiple reasons. First of all we did not get the room that we booked online through expedia, which would have been a junior suite with a fully equipped terrace. When we got there we were told that there was a water problem with this room and that we were upgraded to another...

We were very pleasantly surprised to find a room that was huge (especially for European standards) and very clean and modern. I would stack this room up against some of the finest hotel rooms in Los Angeles. The bathroom was not only very large, but it was also beautifully appointed with the some of the nicest fixtures I've ever seen...

A/C was not working or was purposely shut off. We were not told of this problem upon check in. When we discovered this to be the case late in the evening, we were told by the front desk that they would reset the a/c system. When this did not work and we called back downstairs, we were told to open...

Its fun booking a hotel months in advance in a foreign country in Europe and arriving, only to be told they overbooked and have nothing for you. After a long trip, including planes, trains and a good walk with map in hand, its great arriving at what seems like a nice hotel, and then rejected at the front desk. We...

The hotel is in a great location ... on a quiet street near Via Veneto away from the hustle and bustle of Rome, but still close enough to walk to all of the major attractions ... The Spanish Steps were about 10-15 minute walk, Trevi Fountain is a 20 minute walk, The Pantheon is a 20 minute walk, The Colosseum...

Really modern and fresh hotel. 10 minutes walk from the top of the Spanish steps, fifteen from the Trevi fountain. So that gives you a clue as to the location. The hotel staff are all great and very helpful, they go the whole hog to help. Breakfast is very good too, a large selection of cheeses, meats, cereals etc. again...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
