A great location for a reasonable cost. The rooms are not huge & the bathroom size seems to vary. Breakfast is average. For a central Rome location where you walk to the sites & the station is 10 mins away, recommended !!

I think it's a real bargain for Rome, but there are some downsides you need to be ready for. - the Internet was really bad. I've seen people going to breakfast area to get the connection. so we just used our cell phone data plan instead. - the breakfast was so-so, we expected more based on out previous experience. -... The site make us think we were going to a four or five star hotel but no, it felt like one. Nothing we expected was there; no refridgerator, no free water as it said on internet, no balcony, no fresh and fancy room as in The pictures. When we asked about The things missing The lady at The desk just... More

Dear Guest, first in our web site is very clear The hotel is 2 stars ( not 4 or 5 ) than you reserved the economy room ( the cheap room we have, because of course is the less expensive ) than is impossible for us to put the picture of all rooms we have. Next time you make reservation in... More

The downside first. The showers are small. Other than that this is where you want to stay. You are within a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum, the Forum and Termini Station. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and the cost is reasonable for Rome.

We stayed here for four nights and had a great time. It is ideally situated near the Termini train station and within walking distance of all the main attractions around the Colosseum, Forum etc. The staff were extremely efficient and pleasant. The whole place was beautifully decorated and our room was spacious and comfortable. There wasn't much of a view... More

We stayed for 4 nights-the longest stay anywhere on our trip. While we were there our room got a new shower head and a refrigerator. The staff was very tolerant of our poor Italian. Everyone spoke excellent English. Breakfast was very good with yogurt, strawberries, tomatoes, Cukes, ham, cheese, pastries and fresh made cappuccino. The room was clean. The shower... More

Stayed there for 4 nights. It's a neat, modest hotel. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds, but not enough sound proof. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, more than enough. Well located, near bus stops, shops and supermarkets. Most main attractions within a walking distance. Highly recommended.

This place's biggest assets are its location -- 15-minute walk to the heart of the city -- and its affordable price. That's what you're getting. My wife and I found it to be a great base for exploring Rome. The rooms are small, but they were clean. Bathroom was a little awkward, but manageable. The breakfast was quite nice and... More

We had a room with 4 twin beds for 3 nights, The beds were very comfortable ,The room was clean, but small compared to American standards, the bathrooms are small but had everything required and needed, We didn't have the breakfast because of the tour schedules we had (we were gone before breakfast was served) we were within easy walking... This was our 4th stay at the Hotel Italia. This hotel is rated two star but probably should be a three star. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The location is perfect. It is 5 minutes from Santa Maria Maggiore and about 10 minutes from the Termini. You can easily walk to the Forum area, the Trevi Fountain and... More
