We stayed at the hotel with two Adults and two kids. The hotel is nice, modern and the room was pretty nice, a duplex with a stairway to an upstairs bedroom. Bed comfortable and the hotel area very quiet. Breakfast was good, especially the unlimited cappucino machine. I have 3 cups! Another plus is that we arrived at around 8...

We arrived in Rome from Venice via train. At the railway station we approached the official white taxi rank and was assigned a taxi by the guy in charge. Unfortunately, the older gentlemen driving the Opel Astra estate ripped us off. In what appears to be a typical ploy he didn't drop us exactly at the front door of the...

Little outside of "central" area, but we stayed here b/c we were visiting my niece who lives around there. This hotel is just around the corner from Mouth of Truth. There was a weekend indoor market on the same block (1 min walk) that served us well when we got hungry mid-day and our dinner reservation wasn't till 8pm. Hotel...

For a European hotel, the hotel room was huge. We were in Rome during record breaking heat for a week, and the hotel was well air conditioned as well. It is in a mostly residential area and very quiet at night. The staff is small, and we had one good desk clerk while we were there - others did not...

I had a room booked at Kolbe two months in advance. Then two days before I left for Rome they sent me an email saying my reservation was not confirmed because my credit card was no good. This was a lie my credit card was fine and could be used in Italy. They dumped reservation because they could charge almost...

Dear Sir, Dear Madame, Thank you for your comment, also if not positive. I’ve tried to contact you through the e-mail address that you provided to tripadvisor.com, the reason was that I wanted to have more details about the reservation you made with our hotel, like your real name or day of arrival. This would have helped us to try...

Yes, it is true that this hotel is not the easiest to get to from public transportation, but how often can you stay surrounded by Roman ruins? When we arrived, we were put into a street-level room which was very noisy. We had paid for a garden view room. The next night, they switched our rooms. The conceriege was helpful...

Arrived at the airport in the evening and took around 40 minutes to get to the hotel, lots of traffic on the morotway. Was greeted warmly at the reception. Rooms were clean and quiet, adequate for our needs. Twin beds pushed together but comfortable and plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the cupboard. Shower was fine, nothing fancy, a...

We are happy to give this hotel a good review. We found it on Splendia, the boutique hotel site the day before arriving and had fingers crossed that it would be as nice as the photos. When we arrived in Rome at 7am after an overnight train from Venice, we took the Metro to the Colloseum stop and made the...
