Stayed for 2 nights at the end of July at the Dei Mellini after choosing it following Trip Advisor reviews. For a nominal fee we upgraded to a junior suite, which was wonderful as it had a separate sleeping area/bedroom and separate toilet (an absolute must when travelling with a 17 year old!). We were met with a very warm...

General comments: I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this pleasant hotel with my family of two adults and one child. I have enjoyed my stay and have enjoyed all that rome has to offer. However, there is some room for improvement in this hotel; particularly the breakfast. Rooms: The rooms were generally very clean and of...

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in June. We had a bedroom (with a fridge/minibar)overlooking the street to the front. There was no street noise as the windows were double glazed. The reception area was welcoming and encorporated a small bar area. The bedroom was probably the cleanest I have stayed in. The bathroom was great. The bed...

We booked this hotel through 'deal of the day' on booking.com and got an absolute bargain! Great location very close to the Vatican and a short walk over the river to the other attractions , bars and restaurants. Room exceptionally clean (daily maid service), staff very polite and welcoming. I would rate this a 5* instead of a 4* other...

Found this hotel a pleasant place to stay..Geographically it is in a good location for day time sight seeing but it is in a dimly lit side street with not much pedestrian traffic around.. I felt a little concerned walking back to the hotel after dark. Aside from that - service was good, breakfast excellent, rooms clean and attractive.Wifi is...

My wife and I stayed here as we began our honeymoon in Italy. We found the hotel to be a great location - a 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps in one direction and a 15 minute walk to the Vatican in the other direction. We stayed in a nice, two room, two bathroom suite and were welcomed with...

This was our first stop on a European vacation to 4 countries. We had a modern clean 2 room suite, as we were traveling with our son. There was fresh fruit and a bottle of Proseco for us to enjoy in our room, which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly and...

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
