I stayed at Hotel Alexandra while in Rome for four days. The location is perfect! It's an easy and pretty walk to shopping, restaurants and a variety of churches, museums and well-known sights around the city. Right on the same block as the hotel, there was a great little gelato stand, a handful of sidewalk cafes and a Hard Rock...

We stayed at this hotel as the 5th stop on our city tour of Italy. We were shown to our room by the porter and given a newly decorated room which was very nice and modern. The beds were very comfy, the TV had some English speaking channels (hurrah!) and the air conditioning worked REALLY well (we were freezing on...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay for 5 nights at Hotel Alexandra. We enjoyed the quick hop onto the metro righr outside rhe Hotel and the sightseeing double decker bus one block down the street. The free breakfast was always good and very much appreciated. Room was small but clean and air conditioned!

Reserving early, we got an excellent rate at the well-located Hotel Alexandra in Rome. The Via Veneto metro stop was just down the block from the hotel, making it very convenient to the train station, airport busses, and historic sites. The Via Veneto is a beautiful tree lined street with many hotels and restaurants, but quite quiet at night. The...

Stayed 4 nights in September. Room was a twin and was obviously the cheapest room you could get as there were definitely no frills but this was ok as payed good price for Rome. Size was ok but bathroom was very small. It was clean and comfortable and we only slept there. Breakfast was very Italian but we managed to...

I travelled to Rome with my friend in 2010 as a graduation trip. Alexandra Hotel was perfectly located on the most famous and central road of the town so we were able to go almost everywhere on foot! I liked it very much,I enjoyed having breakfast there, and the staff were very kind! I would appreciate it if they could speak...

Stayed here for our honeymoon aka 25th wedding anniversary. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Easy cab ride to anywhere in the city but also steps to all public transportation. Fine eating all around and a short walk to the Spanish steps. Small but comfortable clean rooms. Terrific morning breakfast. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was nice and was to be expected for the prince range. Our initial room was extremely small. The front desk attendant, Josef, knew this and without even asking, offered to upgrade us to a larger room the following morning. This was very nice and completely unsolicited. Josef was very helpful and knew a ton about the local restaurants...

On arriving at the hotel there had been a pipe burst and our room was flooded, we were given accommodation in the next door hotel. The following night we were given an upgrade and had wine put on ice for the evening as a gesture of good will. the upgrade gave us a recently renovated room with all required facilities....

Hotel Alexandra is a great choice for a Rome vacation, especially if you want somewhere comfortable, clean, and ideally-situated. We stayed here for three nights to finish off our honeymoon and it was a lovely spot. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming, and they know exactly what travelers need when visiting Rome for a few days, right down...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
