We started our Italy trip in Rome at Visconti Palace and we couldn't be happier. The room and bathroom were very clean and modern. I would recommend to add breakfast if you can. The breakfast buffet was filled with delicious pastries as well as your standard hot breakfast needs like eggs and sausages. The hotel is not situated right in...

We spent 3 days in Rome and it exceeded all our expectations. Hotel was nice, but rooms were small and a bit difficult to shower due to the size of the shower. Didn't spend much time in the room so not a problem.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your acknowledgement of our efforts. We truly lead with our service although our location, near the shopping center, museum and attractions, is a strong point. Many renovations have been made , so please be sure to come back and see our new offerings among a new modern bistrot on our lobby level opening...

We stayed in this hotel before and after a Holland America cruise and are glad we did. Located one block from Piazza Cavour, this modern hotel is well appointed, has good internet access, and the morning buffet which is included in the price of the room is outstanding. As first time visitors to Rome my wife and I were impressed...

Clean rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast. Located away from tourist crowds but within walking distance to Vatican, Pantheon other must see sights. Close to good reasonably priced restaurants. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mid-range hotel close to Rome's main tourist attractions. Hard to find because signage not very visible so have its address with you when...

From the train station, you need to take a taxi to the hotel (taxi; drive crazy!) it was about 15$. We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Check in was fast, all staffs we met spoke really good English. Beautiful lobby (just redone), really clean. Location; our first opinion it was way too far, but we were wrong, realized we were...

We stayed here before boarding our ship for a cruise because we wanted to see a few things in Rome before we sailed. After a long overnight flight, we were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready upon our arrival. The staff was very pleasant and quite helpful. The hotel was located where we needed to be. It has recently...

I stayed at the Visconti Palace for 4 nights in June 2007. I was stunned by the cleanliness and modernity of the hotel. Much of the art deco décor is part of an art collection. Four weeks later after I arrived home, I wrote a phenomenal review of the Visconti Palace. Never mind that I have a talent for writing,...

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
