The hotel is close to via Nazionale, so walking distance to every attraction of the city center. this is surely a plus. Room was clean , surely not huge and not pretentious. bathroom was old, but all right for few days. The entrance is tricky since key collection and check in is made by the receptionist of hotel caravaggio, in a perpendicular street but it's not that straightforward when you arrive.. Two things i didnt like: Ridiculous is the elevator working only if you introduce 10 cents to drive you to your floor.... Communication with the night receptionist that was helping organizing the transfer to the airport. Cash payment only not shared before... .

My wife, son, and I stayed at the Picasso Hotel for 12 nights and had a great experience. The room was very clean, comfortable, and with an updated bathroom. The location is ideal. The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trajan's Market, Palatine Hill, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps are all within walking distance. We took a bus to the Vatican and got on right by the hotel. It's a 10-15 minute walk, or short bus ride, to Termini Station where you can get the metro, buses, and trains. We did a one day trip to Pompeii/Naples and Florence the next day. It's a half a block from Via Nazionale which has lots of restaurants, shops, and bus stops. Two doors down from the hotel entrance is the restaurant L'Antica Fraschetta. Their food is excellent and with reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and we always felt welcomed and comfortable. In fact, we ate dinner there almost every night. The hotel concierge, Killy, was very helpful and knowledgeable. There is also a continental breakfast option from 7:30-9:30. The room is an amazing value for all that you get. We would stay there again.

Dear Mr James W, Thank you for your review about our Hotel Picasso. We are pleased to learn that you had an enjoyable stay and that you appreciated the strategic position of the hotel in the downtown of Rome. Infact the hotel is located in few distance from some of the most important sightseeing places like the Trevi's Fountain, Colosseum, Ancient Roman Forum, Venezia Square and some more. It is also not far from bus stops, underground, and few minutes by walking from the main train station of Rome. We look forward to see you again and hope to offer the best stay at the best price as low as possible. Best regards, Lorenzo | Hotel Picasso

I just stayed here for the first time and thought it was a great location (very close to Via Nazionale with many shops; walking distance to e.g. Termini station and sights such as Trevi Fountain and Colosseum). The room was cosy with everything you need. Breakfast was good with my favourite staples including cornetto, fresh coffee and red orange juice. Reception was very helpful to several questions we had and ordered taxis as needed, which usually arrived within minutes. Will recommend and would stay again when next in Rome in a few months.
