We stayed at the La Residenza in April and loved the hotel. We took a Junior Suite (which had a balcony). The hotel is lovely and has a graciousness from another era. The front desk clerks (Antonello and Andrea) were terrific...so helpful and friendly. The manager was always walking around during the day and checking to see what was going...

We visited Rome earlier this month based on reviews from Trip Advisor - and were not disappointed; great staff, really handy location for walking and the metro (30 minutes walk to the Collesseum which was as far out as we planned to go, very near Spanish steps etc), and a clean and large room (we booked a mini-suite and got...

Very good hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was big for European standard and was very clean. You can walk from the hotel to every major tourist attraction in the Rome. The metro station is 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff speak English and always give you the assistance that you ask. Very good breakfast. We...

Excellent hotel. Super b'fast, very clean and friendly staff. Highly recommended. My only complaint is that the central heating was too strong and it got too hot inside. But otherwise it was really good value for money. Thank you.

This very comfortable hotel serves a great breakfast. The reception is friendly and knowledgeable about area restaurants and the like. The hotel is near the Borghese Gardens, Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. We stayed for almost a week and it was great.

I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel in Rome as it was our first visit to this great city. I am happy I made the right choice as everything was up to high standards. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The breakfasts were perfect and definitely more than we expected to have: fresh pineapple, melon, grapes, plums and more...

We were in Rome for three nights and this was the perfect hotel - wonderful breakfast buffet, room was comfortable and quiet with coffee machine. A short walk to Spanish Steps, great restaurants and lovely evening walks. Cannot say enough about the staff who were welcoming and provided all the help and suggestions to make our stay a memorable one....

Wonderful little 4 story, 26 room boutique hotel in fabulous location. It is literally 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps and really close to Metro Station. Perfect ( and very quiet) location on a side street near the Via Veneto.Great for exploring all the attractions in Rome. Extraordinarily professional, friendly staff. Arrived after red eye around 10:30 and our room...

The hotel is well located and clean. My husband and I have been in room 302 which has a nice balcony. The room itself is rather small and old fashion. The air conditioning is also quite old and noisy. The bathroom needs modernization too. In the room there are an electric coffee maker and a kettle, but I was surprised...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
