Yes, King hotel isn't very fancy or new. The rooms are small and the breakfast isn't festive, BUT -- It is a great bargain for tourists who want to experience Rome and all of its wonders- by foot! Via Sistina, where the hotel is located, is a quiet street in the middle of Rome's best quarter. You can get anywhere...

After reading reviews I had a knot in my stomach after booking at the King Hotel. That knot instantly went away when checking in. The men working the desk (the whole week) were VERY friendly, remembered us and our room number when we came back from the day for our key. Yes, the rooms are not updated, simple, small and...

The best part of this hotel was its location - Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, many good restaurants and shopping opportunities all close by. Yet the rooms were small and cold. Even with the second blanket it was cold. Room equipment is very out-of-date - even a telephone with a dial. The hotel house is built on the Teatro Sistina, so...

The location was great, there was a rooftop patio, and the hotel is on the larger side for Rome, but the room itself was scary. I anticipated a rustic hotel room, but it was more on the old and not updated side. The room smelled clean and the sheets appeared to be laundered, but I didn't have the clean feel....

A comfortable hotel a few steps away from the Spanish Steps. Nice and friendly environment. Went in March 2016 with a 3 year old for a week break. They were very friendly and helpful especially when we needed milk for our daughter. The breakfast might not be as big as it used to be but will return again. Being so...

My Girlfriend and I stayed here for a few nights and found the room basic but clean, the location was fantastic very close to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps + the metro was only about 200m away, the only down side is the breakfast room is very small so get there early, apart from that would 100% recommend

Clean and comfortable place to stay, but not lavish. Room is small especially the shower! My poor Hubs had quite a time having a shower..LOL. Called desk to get AC turned on, thank goodness as it was much needed. By the time we returned from out sight seeing it was nice and cool in our room. The King is central...

Thanks to friends who recommended King Hotel will absolutely return anytime. 45 minutes away from Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport by taxi during peak hours both ways, couldn't have asked for a better location. Very close to Piazza di Spagna to your right down the steps to your left down 4 corners you're by Fontana di Trevi. My friend and...

I would list most important features of this facility. Location of this hotel is great. You have subway 3min away and in a very close proximity to downtown. Room cleaned up on a daily basis. And face of this hotel senior Alessandro. He was extremely helpful and spend for us his time as much as required to explain in details,...

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
