The hotel is located in a good location in the center - less than 5 minutes walking from the spanish steps. About 40 minutes walking from the Termini, 30 minutes walking from the Vatican. The staff is nice, our room was very comfortable and clean.

Just back from a quick holiday in Rome. Stayed at the hotel for three nights. Great location, the rooms were clean, shower was hot and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, hot coffee and pastries made us happy. A brilliant hotel if you want to be right in the centre and able to walk everywhere.

From start to finish at the Hotel King was superb. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. They welcomed us a soon as we arrived and made sure that on paying for anything we were treated correctly. When we arrived it was raining and there were persons selling umberellas in the street and the reception... More

The location & receptionist get the 👍🏼 but the hotel & bedrooms & bathrooms are really tired and not worth the money. It wasn't very clean, bare wires in the bathroom. Generally dusty & dirty carpets & curtains. 1 small wardrobe for a small triple room which was approx 14 ft squeezing 3 single beds in. Tin foil covering a... More

The 4 stars is based wholly on the amazing staff who work here. We had a leak in our air con during our stay and whole room flooded badly, so the staff gave us access to another larger room temporarily, moved our suitcases and then changed us over to a new room as soon as one was available. They gave... More

Cons-Typical old Italian Hotel ,maybe hotel carpet in entrance hall a little worn. Lift small though can fit 2adults and adequate . Rooms standard,a little worn but perfectly adequate, towels changed daily if required and rooms clean. . No English Channel... More

I tend to research hotels a bit before I choose and this was by no way different. I was looking for a hotel close to attractions, close to the metro and of a reasonable price and quality. The location was spot on, very close to Barberini (metro) and an extra couple of minutes walk to the Spanish steps. Easy walk... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
