This was our second stay at the Duca d'Alba and found it even better this time. The hotel has taken over a neighbouring shop and created a really beautiful breakfast room and the breakfasts are exceptional. Typical for hotels in Old Rome (within the Aurelian walls) rooms are small but very comfortable with well-appointed bathrooms. Our room, on the fourth... More

The staff at this hotel was super friendly and can communicate with perfect english. I personally did not have the honours to stay at this fine hotel but the people at the counter was very helpful when My friend and I encountered some trouble. They offered a helping hand even though we were not checked in guests. I would definitely... More

This hotel is literally in the perfect location, within walking distance to the Colosseum. It is easy to find your way around Rome from this spot, especially once you have been on the Sight Seeing Bus. Our room was very nice although not the biggest, overlooking the street but there was no noise once the windows were shut. There are... More

Stayed 5-7 August - great location - just a few minutes walk to the Colleseum, pantheon and the Pallentine. Lovely quaint hotel, really friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Made our weekend in Rome perfect. Walking distance to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Vatican less than €10 in a taxi.

The hotel has a very good location - close to metro, close to some popular attractions. The breakfasts were good but without any changes. The staff was friendly. It was a little cold in the room in March.

I booked this romantic break for my fiancé and I, it was a surprise for his 30th birthday and the staff at Duca D'Alba certainly made it feel special. On arrival we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and prosseco on arrival. Although the rooms are fairly small we found them perfect for our trip, after all when... More

My boyfriend and I had less than a great experience at this hotel... our reservation was for a 2-night stay, standard room with double bed, NON-ANNEX. Location: 5 Stars - Great area since it is near all the major tourist attractions (only a 6 minute walk to the Colosseum, about 10 minutes from the Pantheon). There's also a great Italian... More

Dear Candace C, we can't reply your review line by line because it would take long and would probably clear nothing while bothering the readers: your feedback looks more like a case history. We apologize for the toilet paper, it is usually stored -cleaned and in good order- in the closet or on dedicated shelves. We just wish to recap... More

The location of this hotel is great. I would say the facility was good - rooms were well appointed - several reasons I wouldn't give it higher than a 3-star rating, however. First, the wifi was spotty at best. The person who greeted us and whom we had several interactions with, either had a problem dealing with a woman or... More

Well, Lorene D... Nearly everything went wrong but the location and, good you appreciated, the overall situation of the building and the rooms. We are very sorry you had some issues with Angelo, our Senior Staff: usually very polite both as an officer and as a man, we'd say a Gentleman, so if he ever behaved in a rude way... More

Initially I was disappointed by the size of this hotel, it's elevator and rooms, but my goodness that perception soon change with the courteous, attentive staff and cleanliness. It's location within walking distance to many of the ancient sites (colosseum, trevi fountain, Spanish steps) and fabulous restaurants was just ideal. Would highly recommend.

Dear arthur r R, we are very happy we managed accomplishing your expectactions of a great time in Rome. Of course Duca d'Alba Hotel is a compact, cosy Hotel ("Boutique Hotel") yet modern and elegant in the core of the most significant side of the beautiful, popular and very old Monti Area (the ancient Suburra), our rooms are not recommended... Amazing stay! Angelo at the front desk is first class. Room was very clean and new and modern. Breakfast exceeded all of our expectations, so many choices, fresh and always being replenished. Great service staff. Loved the location, walk to many of the local sites. Loved how the hotel was located off the beaten path with several great restaurants to... More
