The hotel is situated near most of the renowned attractions in Rome. There are endless choice of restaurants and cafes surrounding it. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful in assisting in whatever request one may have. The rooms are small with limited space to move around after putting 2 luggages. This should not matter much, as most of... More

The hotel is small - as are the rooms. But it was perfect for us because it was close to many of the main attractions of Rome. The Colosseum, the Santa Maria Maggiore, the Vittorio Emmanuel II Monument, the Foro Di Traiano, many Roman ruins, the Pantheon . . . we even walked to the Vatican & the Castell d'Angelo... More

Dear Robert V, we like to define our Hotel "compact", of course not huge since the building where we are is an old small Palace of the old side of the town in the core of the beautiful Monti Area. Nevertheless we offer more room solutions and the invitation to contact us directly is valid not only to grab the... More

We arrived 11am on Friday to drop off our bags, to out surprise our rooms were ready. We asked for quite rooms in the annex which were tastefully decorated with a good size bathroom and walk in shower. I've been to this hotel on more than one occasion. It's not the biggest or best provisioned hotel in Rome, and some of the rooms are on the small and basic side, but these minor niggles are more than offset by two major factors - the superb location in the lively and colourful Monti district, and the extremely helpful and... We stayed here for 3 nights. The Good points. Staff extremely helpful, Hotel clean, location fantastic 5 mins walk to the colosseum and some great restaurants and bars on your doorstep. The Bad. This has as an outcome that some rooms face the street whilst some rooms face the... More

This was our second stay at the Duca d'Alba and found it even better this time.
