Stayed 5 nights. Rooms were spacious and clean. The ladies came in every day. The front of house staff and bar/breakfast room staff were polite, and very friendly. breakfast was fresh and very varied something for everyone. A great location for visiting all the sights. A good walk every day and a taxi ride home. It will be our go to place, should we return to Rome.
We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to check in and find our room. The room was beautifully furnished with a bathroom including bath and bidet. We even had a lovely balcony with a view of a flowering bougainvillea. Hotel Rivoli is in a cull de sac in the northern part of Rome and is quiet. When we arrived we had a late lunch at Nomad, a restaurant close to and associated with Hotel Rivoli We stayed over Christmas and had not realised that Rome would be all but closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. With the help of the receptionist we found superb places for lunch on both days and within easy walking distance of the Hotel. The buffet breakfast offered continental and scrambled eggs and bacon with a selection of fruit and cereals to start and even some chocolate cakes for those not on a diet. The coffee was really good. The walls of the public areas had lots of interesting old paintings and murals. There were also several statues too. Whenever we wanted to go somewhere, reception called a taxi which arrived very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable cost of the taxis and that made the centre of the old city easily accessible which was lucky because the buses and trams seemed to be operating a reduced service because of Christmas. All in all, Hotel Rivoli is a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the Hotel, the City and the Food. We would love to be able to return to see more of the Eternal City.…
The room was nice. Comfortable bed. The stuff was fery helpful, very accommodating. They cleaned our room every day. The breakfast was very nice for only 5 euros, you couldn't find anywhere else for that money. The thing was unhappy about was the quality of the internet which was poor. Very happy with everything bar the internet.
V quiet business hotel in upscale quiet neighborhood. Great taxi and other transit options Good food in building. Will come again. Easy access for business colleagues to meet pickup and dropoff. Secure facility good for spouse security.
Stay Away from this hotel. Really bad customer service. We checked in late night and we were the only one checking in. The receptionist told us to hand them the passport for the whole family and comeback an hour later cause he was busy doing his paperwork. We refused so he made us sit and wait for an hour until he was done with his paperwork. This is around midnight. Look at the pictures of the toilet under the bathroom sink. We complained about the toilet and the manager said all bathrooms are like that. It was very inconvenient for us to use the toilet. I hurt myself using the toilet few time. See pictures. You sort of have to slide in and out under the sink to be able to use the toilet. Also when checking out, they asked us to pay extra fees. We asked whats that for they said its a new tax in Rome. I called Hotels.com and they said go ahead and pay this tax and later submit a claim to their billing department. The billing department at Hotels.com said they don't know anything about this. Another issue with this hotel is that the hotel is located in a residential area where Cab drivers are not allowed to park or drive in. They kept driving us on the main street and we had to walk up to the hotel with our carry on bags all the time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.…
