Typical european sized rooms, small for US standards. Very clean bathrooms, tiny shower in our double room. Safe neighborhood, good non touristy places to eat, excellent gellato place around corner, and atm right across street. On bus line, easy to use. Very friendly an helpful staff. Skip the coffee @ breakfast and ask for a capacinno, they are complimenary and...

We stayed at the Marcella Royal for four nights from the 6th july and had a great time. The roof top garden was fantastic first thing in the morning for breakfast before the heat got up and was a nice place for a drink in the evening, but be warned we payed 10 euros for two small bottles of sprite...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel from 08th to the 11th of July and would certainly stay here again should we be lucky enough to find ourselves back in Rome. The room we stayed in was basic, but spotless, and the air conditioning ensured we returned to a lovely cool room each evening, after a days walking in...

On arrival at hotel, our room was not ready, however this was because we arrived earlier than planned. We were able to leave our bags while we went for lunch close by. The concierge and bell-boy were fantastic. We received lots of knowledgable information about sights/walking routes/restaurants, with a sense of humour. We stayed three nights, breakfast was adequate, the...

Boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of July. Multilingual staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and spacious, if a little old fashioned in the decor. Air con works fine, showers are hot etc. A lovely gesture was when the roses we had bought and put in a plastic cup from...

Do not stay here unless you like tiny rooms, dirty carpet, bathrooms that are falling apart and air conditioners that don't work. Oh, I forgot to mention you'll be walking a lot, too. It's far away from anything you would want to see.

Marcella Royale's location was perfect for us, 10 minute walk from Termini Train Station and Turist double decker bus stop, however it is on a nice street that has small restaurants and little traffic. The multilingual team was the best and friendliest of all the hotels that we stayed at in Italy, Marco and...I am sorry I can't remember her...

First, lets start off with the location. Although on the website and in person they say many things are 15 minutes way, add another 15 to 30 minutes to any amount they give you. It is really as east in the city as you can get. Also, dont let the pictures of the roof garden fool you. I think there...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
