I stayed there last year on my honeymoon. Found the hotel to be nice and accommodating. Upon returning we realized we left an irreplaceble item/ a wooden box (not valuable) there. The response was so poor. We could not get a straight forward answer. Service was rude and dismissive. I still think about this until today.
First things first, don’t come here expecting a world class 5 star hotel, and then you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are unbearably hot this time of year because there’s a central thermostat (set to 27C apparently!) and you can not control the temperature in your room. The trick is to turn the fan off and leave your windows open when you’re out, then you won’t melt. The rooms are comfortable and average with nothing great and nothing particularly bad to report. The shower was a bit disappointing because the water pressure is quite low and the water temperature fluctuates rapidly. Breakfast was palatable but nothing to write home about. Not much of a selection and if you arrive anytime after 9am then there’s not a great deal left. Would be better if things were refreshed regularly; especially the bread which we found particularly hard on a couple of occasions. Don’t touch the mini bar or the hotel bar unless you’ve just won big at the casino. €15 for a spirit and €8 for a 330ml Coke are pretty obscene. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t the place for you, but if you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of most of the main attractions, this place is ideal. I would come back again, but with slightly lower expectations. …
Very nice 5-star hotel right in the centre of Rome with walking distance to almost everything. Very nice staff and services. the only thing I would like to recommend. Hotel is visited primarily by non-Italian speaking visitors but it offers only 3 TV channels in English (or other languages). Also, the hot/cold water switch in the shower should be a bit fixed. Otherwise, very pleasant stay.
Ambasciatori Palace is located in the city center. Everywhere to be seen is 5 to 10 min away by walk. Such as spanish steps, trevi fountain, pantheon etc. Hotel is quite comfortable with bigger rooms. Very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was quite satisfactory. Thanks for the hospitality during our stay. Kemal Gürel
If you like sleeping in an oven you can’t cool down as their system isn’t room specific then this the place for you. Rooms are hot, sleeping difficult and complaining to reception does nothing as only heating available this time of year with room control system set to 27c - on or off. Response from reception was to sleep with window open, Rome traffic far to busy outside for that, disappointed and have two nights left 😒
I was very disappointed with this hotel because it was listed as a 5 star hotel. The room was big and well presented. The bed was very big. The bathroom was not great. The floor tiles were broken, mold on the walls, toilet was not great. The breakfast was basic nothing to get excited about. I will not book a hotel I was not familiar with again. The room was so hot during the night we had to open the window. The location was not close to the major historical site. This was my only break this year. I wanted somewhere that would help me forget work. I am so glad I only booked for one night. Look at the pictures below. Is this picture of a 5 star hotel. The management should be ashamed. I paid £260 for the night. Its outrageous money for a disgusting hotel.
For the second time this year, we returned to this lovely charming hotel. Again, it has a wonderful location, wonderful facilities and amenities but what truly makes us go back and will make us go yet again (this will be our Rome home from now on) is the STAFF. From the bellmen, to the reception, to the concierge, to the barman/ladies,, to the breakfast team, they are just simply THE BEST. This hotel seems to have a special secret place from which they select the kindest, most helpful, most cordial and efficient staff. The handymen even you come across in the elevator are always smiling and kind. The cleaning team, EVERYBODY. A special thanks to the gracious manager and to the lovely kind sweetheart hardworking Margherita, the kindhearted and always attentive Sabrina and Georgia, the gentleman welcoming barman Marco, and the great Fabio. Special thanks to young gentleman Leonardo who went out of his way to make my mother’s breakfast more comfortable. When you are on your 80s, those touches mean the world and they did to my mother. What a team. Thank you for the lovely moments and the memories. Until next summer.…
We stayed here as part of a tour group. The hotel had beautiful architecture and the hotel staff was very professional and courteous. At the front desk, we were able to make change for our larger Euros which was very helpful. RESTAURANT- In the restaurant, they have a beautiful terrace outside, shaded by a canopy and flower boxes. We ate outside on the terrace for two breakfast meals. The one thing that I was not used to was smoking being allowed on the terrace. In the United States, most restaurants do not allow smoking (which I enjoy). In Italy, smoking is widely prevalent, but when I am eating, breathing in another's guest's smoke ruins my experience. That experience was not unique to this hotel, it was pretty much everywhere, but just something to be aware of. BATHROOM- For some reason, our bathroom only had 1/2 door in the shower, which led to water spilling on the floor. Overall, the hotel was lovely and had a good breakfast buffet. It is in a fantastic location in Rome, near many restaurants and within walking distance of the Spanish Steps.…
So far one of the best stay in Rome and great service I have been with my family 3 adults and 1 kid, staff was super professional and helpful room clean and spacious will come back. Room was the plus really big with sofa bed and wife living space
It’s a very grand hotel and actually I could definitely recommend it but there are a few little niggles. Firstly check-in was not as seamless as it should be when visiting a hotel of this quality. However once checked in the service was very good. The other issue is a personal gripe of mine. Having entered my room it was unbelievably warm, in fact it was ridiculous. Immediately I had to open the doors to the balcony in order to get some sort of reasonable airflow. Why oh why do hotels do this? I’m sure half of the global warming issue is down to hotels setting their temperatures to irresponsibly high levels. Enjoy the hotel, the buffet breakfast was excellent but be prepared to strip down to your underpants straight away when you enter your room!
