We liked this hotel very much ! It was in a great location for our first trip to Rome. The rooms are very spacious. The staff was very accommodating .The concierge was the best he tried to get us tickets to a soccer game but it was raining that night .

A classic hotel, excellent location. Our room was a nice size, our traveling partner had a huge room. The bathroom was huge! Bed was a nice size, had asked for twin beds but got a double bed, one night, no big deal. Lots of resturants close by. Hard Rock Cafe next door. Balcony outside of room. Breakfast was fine, but... First time in Rome. Did not expect such rudeness from the hotel staff. Room was clean, location was good and breakfast was decent. Only disappointment was truly the attitude of the staff. Obviously they do not cater to tourists as they advertise.

Nice hotel on the outside with clean rooms. However, inside needs renovations including the guest rooms, concierge not very informative, pretty good location and 8 euro for a soda. There are many other places to stay!

Wonderful Hotel in an excellent location! I had a short stay in his hotel and did not expect much. The rooms were spotless very spacious and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Much better than the other high-end hotel that I stayed in this particular trip.

Close to the Spanish steps(under renovation ) and an 11 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain this hotel wonderful for our 3 days in Rome. I found the beds firm but not too hard as reported by others. We had no view but then we're not in the room for much time other than to sleep at night. Bathtub has... More

The Hotel Ambasciatori should no longer belong to the category Luxury hotels. This beautiful building located in the prestigious Via Veneto neighborhood. The hotel has very friendly staff and the feeling of luxury hotel is still "in the walls", but is in need of a renovation. The rooms are large but bland, the marble bathrooms also shows time for a... Lovely hotel but when booking said we would have a view of the courtyard. All we saw from our bedroom window was a terracotta roof. Fabulous to have the hard rock cafe right next door and lots of other restaurants. A short walk to the trevi fountain. Also easy access to the metro which was great

Very disappointed. Was provided with this hotel as part of a pre cruise stay. Was told it was five star. Reception and from the street lovely. Concierge great. Room rubbish. Hasn't been decorated for years. Had to ask for it to be cleaned as there were piles of what looked like woodworm dust on the floor. Blind didn't work in... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The restoration was made according to the original structure of the environment, and repeating and interpreting the existing decorations: the Brazilian granite columns and the intricate wrought-iron balustrade of the grand staircase, the marble floors and the polychromatic mosaic and the pleasant succession of stuccoes, the Venetian chandeliers and skylights. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The new Ambassador Rooms are equipped with TouchControl devices to adjust temperature and lighting and MediaHub to connect the HD screen to the TV audio/video devices. Guests can use the Fitness Center, dine at the refined and elegant restaurant 'La Terrazza', renowned for its culinary fame since the 1920's, the Embassy Bar and Bistro corner and complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms and public areas. The privileged position of the Ambasciatori Palace, in the business district, makes the Hotel the ideal location for business trips, meetings , exhibitions , banquets and vernissage. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome. A few steps from the Metropolitana Train (stop Barberini) allows a pleasant walk to the Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona and the main railway Station Termini. ... more   less
