Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Hi. I've stayed here four times now, but have always taken the train(from Fiumicino) or the bus(from Ciampino) to get there. Both transfers take around half an hour(depending on the traffic in case you take the bus of course) and you'll end up at Termini station in both cases. From the station it only takes five minutes to walk to the hotel, one of the reasons why I love this place :) The bus from Ciampino costs around 5 euro, and they usually leave every 30 minutes or so. When I stayed here again a couple of weeks ago I was in a hurry to get to the airport(Ciampino), so the woman at the front desk ordered a taxi for us and it cost 30 euro. I think the driver gave us a discount, because normally the price is 35/38 euro. On Nizza's homepage it says that they'll arrange a transfer for you if needed, so you could try giving them a call.
Have a wonderful trip to Roma,
Kind regards Louise
