We were lucky to have had the chance to spend two nights at de la Ville before it closed at the end of March. It is a most wonderful, almost opulent old world property situated right next to the top of the Spanish Steps. One would not want to be anywhere else in Rome. Although our room was not 5... More

The location is superb. Jut a few steps from Spanish Steps which is a plus, we didn't have to take any means of transportation. From Spanish Steps we walked to Trevi fountain and the pantheon , Piazza navona . All 10 -15 minute walk from one point to the other. The hotel however; although big name but it was dated... More

We stayed here for two nights for a short break in Rome. Being right near the top of the Spanish Steps, the location is fantastic, and the view over the city from our balcony was absolutely superb. Upon check in, we were upgraded to an executive city view room (I'm an IHG Spire Elite), and the staff were exceptionally friendly... More

My Italian sales office was in Rome. As a consequence, I visited Italy and Rome many times. I have stayed in a number of different hotels but the one I like the best is the Inter-Conn located along the Via Sistina. The location is perfect…right at the top of the Spanish Steps and the Piazza di Espagna. Hotel is a... More

this is a luxury hotel located right at the top of the Spanish Steps and close to all major attractions. Being an old monastery rooms are on the small side, especially for Intercontinental hotels but with lots of atmosphere. A rooftop bar and restaurant offers fantastic views over the city to the Vatican. Its great selling point is its location.... More

I want to offer my recognition to the staff members for the great service committment, although the hotel is closing every single member of the staff was so friendly and helpful, that I can only say Thank you and good luck! Front desk, concierge and Restaurant Staff, great work!

This hotel is in an incredible location and the decor is amazing...it takes you back to a different time adding to the Roman Holiday feel. I personally would stay here again and again but just learned its closing at the end of March. The end of an era.

check in - quick warm and friendly room - was upgraded from a junior to a full suite . Entered into a lounge with a separate dining area overlooking the street / top of Spanish steps . Three girlfriends spent 3 nights as a break. The location is at the top of the Spanish Steps, few steps from hassler Hotel. The rooms that have a small balcony overlook a nice patio and they are a bit on the small side but they are clean with a comfortable bed. The service was excellent, everything you ask for was... The IC Roma is currently advertising afternoon tea in their window including sandwiches and pastries for €12 per person. Thinking this sounded like a good deal we went in today (we are actually staying at a different hotel in the vicinity). The reality was that we were brought poor quality tea and 5 biscuits between 2 people (at least make... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
