My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved this hotel. We have been to Rome many times and we usually stay in lower cost hotels further out. This time we splashed out and stayed here. It was amazing to be in this location, right at the top of the spanish steps. I loved the old fashioned... More

I had stayed in this hotel many nights (sometimes months at a time) and grew to love it, despite some flaws. But let me inform everyone: THIS HOTEL IS NOW CLOSED!!! They had a lease dispute, or something, and closed up shop. When I was back in Rome in early May, I walked by. All of the references to "Intercontinental"... More

This hotel and the staff were absolutely wonderful. The decor is stunning and the location perfect. We originally wanted to stay at The Hassler but couldn't afford it. This turned out to be a much better choice for us. Located right next to to Spanish Steps it was very easy to navigate the entire city from here. Highly recommend this... More

My husband and I stayed here in October 2015 for a few nights, our first visit to Rome. Overall, we had nothing to complain about, but it is definitely not a modern Intercontinental. It is an older property. However, there were many positives. The location was very good, right near the Spanish Steps and easy to walk to many attractions.... More

As a Spire Elite Ambassador I know a little about Intercontinental hotels. This is at the lower end of the scale. I've stayed here before but the decline over the last few years is pretty clear. On arrival i was grileld by a policve like check in person who didn't believe my status and refused to provide loyalty benefits. After... More

We came to Rome for few days and choose this Hotel for its location. Superb at the centre of the city , few meters away form the Spanish steps and the most important historical attractions. Rooms are old and everything is either chipped or doesn't work properly. Good thing is the staff of the Hotel, very friendly and accommodating ,... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
