Not sure how anybody could give this hotel less than 5 stars. We had an absolutely wonderful time and the staff could not have been nicer, more helpful or more accommodating. We had a room too small for our needs (our fault when booking) and, despite being sold out, found us a different room option for most of our stay.... More

The location of this hotel on Via Veneto takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but is close enough to have an easy walk to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. To get most places such as the Vatican it is about a 10-12 euro cab ride. As we were celebrating a milestone anniversary we... More

As a platinum member I expected more, after check in we were basically forgotten, sent to our closet sized room and never recognized again. With that said, the location is perfect, next to the gardens and not to far from most of the tourist locations, the roof top terrace is wonderful and breakfast on said terrace was a great start... Front desk not knowledgeable. Too far from center of town to walk in extremely hot weather, Breakfast atmosphere nice, Food below average. Beds hard and lumpy. Would not give p0intsto Marriott member. I stay at Marriotts in the states ,although this hotel has a perception of grandeur, that is about all

Good points - stunning view from the top floor - inward room with no view BUT really clean ( i mean spotless) and cool in the 36 degree heat. Bad points - At this price point service becomes important. The front desk check in was just about ok though only one person on duty. On the other hand breakfast service... More

Stayed at Marriott Grand Flora on 4 day break with my son in July 2016. I used my points for this stay as was personal trip. Hard to find any fault with the hotel. Location on Via Venetto is perfect for exploring Rome. Staff were courteous if a little unfriendly , but that wasnt a major issue. Conceirge was extremely... More

This was our fourth stop on our three week honeymoon! The hotel was extremely nice! We checked in late and the front desk was ready for us and very friendly/helpful! The roof/breakfast area was amazing a little heaven in the sky area! :) The only downfall of this hotel is it isn't located that close to all the cities main... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It's right near remains of the Roman wall and steps away from a beautiful, large park. A walk through the park leads you to a terrace with beautiful views of the city and then down the hill to the Spanish steps. From there it's not far to the Treve Fountain. The... More

This is a large hotel (with similarly sized hotels nearby) right by the Borghese grounds. It's also just a few minute walk to the nearest metro station. The room was very comfortable and modern. The staff was also helpful in helping us plan our day and secure transportation. The area is seemed a bit more upscale than rustic, but thats... More

I know others have mentioned less than positive experiences with the staff, but our experiences were all excellent. We were assigned this hotel by our cruise company, Regent Seven Seas, for the 2 days before our cruise departure. In the past we have usually stayed down the street at the Majestic Hotel, a much smaller boutique property. We were greeted... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
