The Marriott Grand Hotel Flora is very elegant with no shortage of marble! The architecture of the building, the location right next door to the ancient city wall and the beauty of the interior just adds to it's grandeur! The bedroom layout with a hallway, gives the feel of a suite or villa. The bathrooms are solid marble for the...

This is a great small sized but clearly upscale hotel in the heart of Rome. A ten minute walk (up hill) to the Spanish Steps it is a really great location, just inside the ancient walls, and overlooking the Borghese Gardens. The city panorama seen from their top floor patio breakfast room is breathtaking...all the way to Saint Peters and...

We recently returned from a week at this lovely hotel. I have nothing but rave reviews! Our room was very comfortable and clean. It was attended to by mid-morning and checked on by every evening at 6. We found the staff to be outstanding and very welcoming. As Marriott members, we appreciated the outstanding buffet breakfast on the rooftop restaurant...

We stayed in this hotel three times so far we are booked for a forth stay on New Year. We don't really have enough. Book a room overlooking Villa Bourgesa, the most fascinating scenery in Rome. Coupled with big rooms, very hospitable staff, the best view for a breakfast in Rome and proximity to the most important sites of the...

Stayed at the Marriott Grand Flora for 5 nights starting Oct. 11 and all I can say is WOW!! I am platinum with Marriott and used points for the stay. While I did not receive or ask for an upgraded room from the deluxe room, we received a recently redecorated room, which was great. It was on the second floor...

The Grand Flora was fabulous. The staff and location were exceptional. Our room overlooked the Borghese Gardens and we enjoyed a stroll through the it during our visit to Rome. There are many fine non touristy restaurants on the side streets near the hotel too.

This was a special 10th anniversary trip for us but the service at the Grand Hotel Flora was not great. First the good -- the hotel is lovely and the rooms are nice. Housekeeping did a great job. Location is also nice adjacent to the Borghese Gardens. The view from the rooftop restaurant is absolutely stunning, but the breakfast buffet...

Marriott Grand Hotel Flora is on Via Veneto, a beautiful shopping and dining area in Rome, an easy stroll to the beautiful Borghese Gardens and Piazza Barberini. The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are a walkable distance while being out of the thick of the crowds. Our room was spacious and quiet, clean and well-appointed. The wall colors, window dressing...

We stayed at the Marriott Flora hotel and were very satisfied with our stay. We were upgraded to a suite upon check-in, the breakfast had many choices and was very good for your hotel breakfast. Our room was also very spacious for Italy! I will say it is a Marriott, so it does not have the boutique European hotel vibe,...

This is a great hotel with a helpful staff. It's in a quiet location next to the Borghese Gardens and the ancient city walls, very close walking distance to the Borghese Gallery. Also close walking to Spanish Steps, shopping, and Trevi Fountain but with hills (Rome is hilly). The rooms are spacious by Italy standards and appointed well. The breakfast...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
