Overall the hotel is good Location is excellent as most places are walking distance The rooms are old and you can hear everything from the halls and outside, also the doors are not very secure. The shower always leaves the bathroom floor very wet. The wifi in the evening has a poor connection because many people are using at the...

This is a very very cheap hotel, and you can tell by the state of it! I dislike writing bad reviews, as I like to be positive. However I can not find anything good about this hotel- apart from the friendly staff. Apart from that it was awful, the rooms are infested with bed bugs! they are everywhere! we have...

Dear Madame, thanks for your review. Since your stay we made a pest control. We do care about hygiene, sometimes it can happen that guests bring the bugs on their trolleys or from the cheap shuttle buses from the airport to the centre of Rome but we do our best to do the best control immediately.

as it appears, pets were allowed and the room was full of insects, is was very uncomfortable to sleep and to leave there... the breakfast was nice... the hotel staff had probably some problems with management and there were some loud discussions. if it was my choice i would not have chosen this hotel. P.s. Hotel San Remo in Rome,...

Close to lots of busses, the metro and the train station. Breakfast is good. The breakfast staff are overworked and service is very slow. The room is large and the bed pretty comfy with extra pillows. The desk staff were always helpful. However the bath smelled of mildew. Our room faced the street and was pretty noisy. The wifi requires...

This hotel is more of a B and B. Food at breakfast was good and the lady serving was lovely . Not a good hotel within a baby but that s all that was wrong . Staff at reception were always only to willing to help. All in all a nice hotel a little dated but for location and value...

My mother and I stayed at this hotel from 8/28 until 9/6/2016. We checked out for one night during that time to travel to Venice. We changed 3 rooms (all 3 with terrible views), and only the last one was more or less okay. The first room was too cold because the temperature was set at 16C (60F) and it...

I checked into Hotel Fiamma on the 22nd of July, after having travelled from Venice, down through Tuscany with my girlfriend over the space of 8 days, with Rome being the final destination of our trip. We were perfectly aware that the hotel wouldn't be luxurious, but we were happy enough to sacrifice that given the location, just a few...

This hotel is very convenient to the Termini station....only about 2-3 minutes walk. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was simple but good. Room was very basic, but clean. In some months, the A/C is not turned on and so you must keep the windows open for fresh air, but then there is a lot of street noise....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
