Clean, comfortable, rather pretty room on fourth floor, quiet too. Nice size bathroom. Hotel is only 10 minute walk from main station and within walking distance of all main attractions - as long as you don't mind walking a fair bit. All the staff were friendly and helpful. When we first arrived the man on reception even sang Happy Birthday... More

Average hotel in Rome if you're on a budget. The whole hotel looks like a time warp back to the 70's including the rooms (checkout the retro lift). Wallpapers in the room are peeling off in places, carpet was clean, curtains was clean, bed was clean but the towels in the bathroom smelled funny like it didn't wash completely. Breakfast... More

Dear Kenny F, thanks for your review, we are sorry that you didn't like our classical refurbishment, almost all lifrts in Rome are like ours, others even more "ancient", you actually have to close the doors, it's part of the charme of the Eternal city, we are sorry you didn't appreciate it. We apologize that our staff didn't look friendly,... More

A little skeptical pre visit after reading some of the reviews but this quickly resolved as a most pleasant experience. Check in was a little feisty but in fairness many people arrived at once and none of them were on a group tour. Room was bigger than expected, good wardrobe space, good sized bathroom and fabulous showers. Clean.Breakfast was typical... More

Stayed here with a school group for 3 nights. Rooms were clean and comfortable.. Breakfast typically Italian with sweet pastries etc. Fresh fruit would be a welcome addition! The location of this hotel was excellent with a 5 minute walk to Termini station and the metro which made travelling to landmarks easy for our group. Being on a side street... More

I booked and paid for a double room but when I checked in I was given a single room. After complaining, I was moved to a twin room as all other double room were occupied. The heater in the room didn't work. The waiter at the restaurant was not friendly at all, I asked for a tea and a coffee,... More

Fiomma was a really wonderful stay. Everything was on good terms. Yes, it is not a brand new place and requires some maintenance here and there. But the room was comfortable with an excellent bathroom and perfect air conditioner. Wi-Fi demands frequently logins but worked very well. Polite Staff, amazing self-service breakfast buffet and really walking distance from Roma Termini... More

Clean and comfortable rooms. Not the top but you will not expect more from a 3 stars hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to the Roma Terminal. Near some places to visit. Good for a budget trip, but not if you want the best.

You get what you pay for, this is a basic hotel and priced as such. Its a hotel to sleep in at night while you go out around this city and being located 5 minutes from the nearest bus and train station makes it a great choice. The grey haired man at the front desk was pleasant but his front... More

We have just returned from a four night stay here and would happily return to this hotel. It is not luxurious but we found it to be clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and it was five minutes walk from Termini station, ideal for a city break.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights last week whilst city breaking in Rome. The room was not great, unsafe exposed electrics, dirty bathroom that smelt of urine and grubby soft furnishings. The staff were rude and grumpy and breakfast was not great. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
