I've stayed here 3 times in the past 3 years. The first two times, I liked it very much. Good balance of location, price, quality. My last stay was end April 2010. We ended up getting a room which was the size of a closet with two "cots". I call them cots because they were smaller than the standard American...

My first room was a cot in a closet. I didn't even have the space to put my suitcase flat to open it. I stayed there 2 nights and then they moved me to a small, but reasonable room. This hotel is in a great location as for walking to the Vatican, Castle St. Angelo, Trevi, Pantheon, etc. There is...

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May 2010 with my partner + friends. The hotel is perfectly located. Rooms are ok. Beds are a bit hard and you sleep with a blanket. Bathroom small but clean. Normal Italian standard ;o) The water in the shower isn't very hard. So it takes quite a while to get the shampoo...

I was one on the many Britons stranded in Rome as a result of the volcanic dust cloud so my wife, daughter and I had to leave our rented apartment at the end of the booked period and, by chance, wandered into the Hotel Genio without knowledge or expectations of the hotel. This hotel provided one of the few pleasant...

Stayed at the hotel genio for 4 nights. The location of this hotel is fantastic for visiting the pantheon, vatican, trevi fountain, coloseum. From the rooftop you can sit looking at st.peters basilica, especially at night lit up. the pantheon is over to the right. stunning views. Room was in the centre of the hotel overlooking the fire escapes, but I...

The Genio Hotel offers a number of pros and some cons. My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights at the beginning of our week long trip to Italy. We arrived on a Saturday morning around 10am with our bags in tow. At first glance it has a nice street presence in a neat, clean area of town just blocks...

This was my second stay at Hotel Genio. The first was fine--decent room. Great location. The second was completely awful. I stayed for a week and thought given that other hotels had offered me reduced rates, the Genio would at least give me a decent room. I knew the staff would be surly as they were last time but given...

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
