It's all about location! Five minute walk to Piazza Navona and all of the great restaurants and people watching that go along with it. The hotel is small, but has a beautiful rooftop terrace where the included breakfast is served. Be prepared to get only two people at a time in the elevator or one person with luggage. Desk staff... We stayed here for one day. The location is great as it is right near a very busy plaza with lots of restaurants. The hotel staff were very nice and spoke English fluently. The free Wifi was decent. The free breakfast was great. I would stay there again for sure. Great value for money hotel.

Would recommend this hotel it is in a great location within walking distance to all the main attractions. Small but comfy rooms. Friendly staff. Only minor let downs were the breakfast and the WiFi connection.

Clean, comfortable, great staff, great value for money and in the middle of Rome! What more do you want? I realise from some other reviews that some people want a lot more but, personally, I use a hotel as a base not as a permanent place of residence. The roof top terrace is pretty groovy too!

Looking back on the hotel I have mixed feelings. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The mattresses were hard, but i slept like a baby. We had a room with a little balcony, which was awesome. The street noise was not fun, but if you closed the windows, most of the noise... More

Hotel is a short walk to the Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angelo, and Piazza Navona. Other than that, it was a bit disappointing. The King bed, aka 2 twin beds pushed together, was extremely uncomfortable. Wifi was non-existent during part of our stay. The bedroom was small, but the bathroom was clean and a decent size. Breakfast was included, nothing fancy but... More

The hotel was last updated in the 1980s and while the staff keeps it clean, there is only so much they can do with thirty year old furnishings and amenities. The mattresses are old, the carpets are worn down. The AC is spotty and Wifi does not work in every room. You will still receive an old heavy key instead... More

Dear guest, we offer a modern service in a classic location, we are sorry you had other expectations. Breakfast is continental, if you check you see it consists in a cold buffet (eggs, ham, cheese, bread, pastries, cakes, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, jam, butter etc.) and hot beverages. We confirm that we fully correspond to the regional standard of... More

Thanks for your positive opinion about our hotel and staff! Regarding the taxi at 70 euro, this was for sure a fake taxi driver, when you arrive at Fiumicino or Ciampino airport do not accept the passages from the drivers inside, walk outside and find the legal white taxis stops, they are much cheaper. Just steps from Piazza Navona and within walking distance of all the major sites including the Colosseo, Foro Romano, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and the Vatican, Hotel Genio is the place to stay. Our room was very nicely appointed, spacious and very clean. We had one with a balcony which was a nice added feature. Also, the room... More
