Not nice. At all. I understand rooms in Rome can be small but this was ridiculous. I could have put up with it except the service...or should I say non service? The guy on the desk was the laziest person ever I have seen in hospitality. When I asked him to confirm a tour for the next day he told... More

it's super nice having a good place to go back to after a massive day out. Especially one with air conditioning. The beds were good, but staying there for a week it can get chaffing due to the size of the beds. But it was right next to the train station and rather a handy central area for doing all... More

Stayed 2 nights upon arrival to Italy & 2 nights on departure, narrow stairs hard if carrying lots of luggage with no help! Room was older but clean & spacious, my negative was it had no hairdryer & no bar fridge which was unacceptable in peak of summer when you want cold-water for taking with you when sightseeing! Breakfast was... More

Great desk service here at Kennedy. Rooms are beautifully appointed and everything works just fine. The breakfasts are great fun - have a chat to the barrista and enjoy a good offering of continental breads and pastries. Wifi strength is intermittent depending on where you are in the property.

Hotel is situated in close proximity to the train and bus station,it's about 3minutes walk to the hotel. Will definitely stay there again,in close proximity to restaurants and shops good location to stay in. The rooms were spacious and well presented air conditioner worked well. Will recommend it any day.

Reception staff are fantastic. Very helpful. The location isn't too bad. Literally across the road from the central station. Rooms were a let down. Reception is on one part of the street and where we stayed was down another road where its quite scary. Graffiti everywhere. First step is to open a big green door. Walk past rubbish bins inside... My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night and found our experience was one of mixed feelings. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and found the bloke behind reception very grumpy and unhelpful. But location was ideal, walking distance from the train station and the room was basic but still nice for a night in transit.

Steps at front door very difficult with bags. Most staff very nice, one an arrogant man who offered nothing when i said bathroom mouldy and room not airconditioned. I had already paid so he was not interested. But dozens of other places just as close. Need to lift their game. Would not stay again

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
